Forgive me for asking, but why does your father not have a grave? (Hopefully it's because he's still living.)
He was cremated when he died and my sister spread his ashes at the base of a waterfall somewhere on Mt. Ranier. She freaked when she found out she sort of bent :) the law doing so.
He wanted to be in the mountains and that was the prettiest one we could think of.
