A friend online pointed out this website of free courses. May want to watch for dropping leftist hints in some of the lectures, haven't explored much.

Yeah, I found a ZIP file w/ the transcripts at the top of the individual audio listings. Thanks.

Thank you so much for that link! I’m going to pass this on to my eldest daughter for her homeschool studies!

Thank you so much for posting this SC, and for the ping! It's a treasure trove for homeschooling (or even "continuing education")!
Ping to Metmom for a possible Homeschool List Ping - This website would be a great resource for those with older children! :)

Tiredoftaxes has put together a list of resources for homeschoolers to avail themselves of. Perhaps this could be added.

Thanks Civ. I need to brush up. History does have a way of repeating itself.

Now could a reasonable person understand it?

I get all of my Greeko-Roman education from VDH. What does he have to say about Kagan?

I don’t know how Victor Davis Hanson feels about Donald Kagan. You’ll have to ask him!
Both gentlemen are scholars, with Dr Hanson probably commenting on current events more extensively.

I ask because if you have not yet read “Who Killed Homer, The Demise of Classical Education and the Recovery of Greek Wisdom” by VDH I HIGHLY recommend it! In the book he warns that 95% of what is being taught in classics studies today is bunk or out-right propaganda.

I haven’t yet read the book. I shall place it on my reading list. Thanks!
Oh, and please give my regards to Professor Hanson!
