LOL, outstanding post.
I’m still stunned by Angelina’s emeralds! Go to people.com to see their photo gallery of gowns and close-ups of jewels and handbags. Stunning!
I agree. Jackman was funny, a fine dancer and singer. The recession seems to have brought out a finer comedic sensibility.
Miley did the voiceover for Bolt and wrote the song that was up for Best Song. Beyonce was there to perform.
No, she didn't. Three songs were nominated--two from Slumdog and one from Wall-E, which was written by Peter Gabriel. There was a studio push to get a nom for the Bolt song, but it didn't work.
The real reason Miley was there is that she's a Disney star and the Oscars were an ABC-Disney extravaganza. I was amused to see that the post-Oscars Barbara Walters special kicked off with an interview of the Jonas Brothers, who had zero to do with the Oscars but who are also Disney stars.
Synergy, baby.
The Jonas Brothers have a Beatles-type movie coming out and were on barbara Walter's show for the young demos.
No, please, go right ahead and get the last word. A-holes like you have an obsessive desire for it.
I interrupt this flame war (which I really don’t have the time nor desire to backtrack) to ask if anyone knows if preliminary TV ratings for the the Bollywood Street Urchin Awards were last night?
Yet.. you have time to stop by and tell us that news flash... >>>>
I sure do, my tv is OFF and my computer on..
where on earth did I say i had “no time” to watch the oscars? I simply stated that it’s boring and not worth watching the hollywood POS liberals.
You’re right; I was still thinking of the Golden Globes? Award season is overkill and the Oscars fail to surprise by the time they roll around.
She didn’t win for Titanic.
Which you felt compelled to tell those of us who watched.
2007 Nominated Oscar Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for: Little Children (2006)
2005 Nominated Oscar Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
2002 Nominated Oscar Best Actress in a Supporting Role for: Iris (2001/I)
1998 Nominated Oscar Best Actress in a Leading Role for: Titanic (1997)
1996 Nominated Oscar Best Actress in a Supporting Role for: Sense and Sensibility (1995)
I’d definitely like to see more movies with Hugh Jackman and none with Sean Penn...
Yes, I did, this is the FR and comments are to be made.
Sorry if you don’t like it. I don’t care.
It isn’t a matter of liking it, it is very strange when people stop on threads they have no interest in to call the people on the thread names for posting on said thread...
you’re wrong again, this is the FR where we post our comments and ideas and thoughts, I was going through the latest posts, this caught my eye and I stated how I feel. If you don’t like it too bad.
Second that...
Contemporary country bites. Give me Marty Robbins over the saccharine Wal-Mart/Cocktail Waitress tripe that Nashville has been putting out for the past 35 years.
