The bambi generation. Don't you love it when suburban women mix with wild animals? This reminds me of the video of the woman who got out of her car to feed bread to a bear. When she ran out of bread she said to the bear "All gone". That's when the bear ate her...

Male chimps get up to 200 lbs? I thought they were more like 140-150 lbs.?

Now who will Congress get to write the next “stimulus” bill?

Every time I hear about these incidents, I am amazed at the lack of survival skills that these owners lack.
Here's a novel idea....keep a gun handy! Oh no, lets wait for 20 minutes until a policemen comes with a gun.

Just another reason why an armed society is a peaceful one.
I seriously doubt the woman that owned and lived with this animal will ever recognize the fact her obsession with the monkey got her friends face ripped off, and might yet cost her her life.

That 911 aggravated me so much. Those people need to learn to dispatch a cop immediately when they get a call and ask thier stupid questions later.

The idiot was on television this morning explaining how he was "like her son" and how she had fed him Xanax that morning.
Any veterinarian can tell you that different drugs affect different animals in different ways. But Idiot_Woman had decided that the chimp was really a furry little boy, with a speech impediment, and was treating him because of his, er, tantrums:
XANAX XR is a prescription medication for the treatment of patients with panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia. XANAX XR belongs to a group of medicines called benzodiazepines, which have helped many people feel better
Get the picture? Now I don't know what the effect of Xanax is on chimps, but I'll bet the manufacturer doesn't either....it's a drug for humans.
And it's well known that drugs in animals can have exactly the opposite effect from one species to another.
But that doesn't fit Ms. BlissNinnie's little world view. Too bad her friend had to pay the price.

According to the news:
The violence began shortly after Travis consumed
a meal of fish and chips and then Carvel ice cream.

It was amazing that woman did not have a shotgun with an ape in the house....then again, maybe she was afraid he would of opened the lock, loaded the gun and shot her...

"Ah, yes. Call 911. A best response in minutes when seconds count." While I agree with you, delayed responses by police are not always bad.
You're dismayed? Remember Joe Horn of Pasadena, Texas? He waited for the cops to arrive at that home invasion of his neighbor, for 8 minutes, and when the cops hadn't arrived he went out and shot the two perps dead with his shotgun. They were both illegals and had arrest raps as long as their arms. Horn is a hero and he saved the state hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, for trials, legal defense, and incarcerating the scumbags.
You can find the 911 audio call online. It's fun to listen to.
