Good evening everyone.
Statism continues to run amok in Washington.
The O administration is set to soon unveil a Big Bank Bank Bailout...more debt onto debt for as far as we can see.
But a ray of hope: there are hints that some Dems as well as the Rs in the Senate have qualms about the Depression & Huge Deficit Act of 2009 which passed the House last week.
So we shall see.
Meanwhile we can have a lottery: how many Executive Orders will the new president sign THIS week??
I have missed so many people here.
(I have NOT missed the battle wounds I received here!)

Nothing really. It is just that over Christmas I came down with a bit of bronchitis. Apparently I coughed so hard that I pulled a muscle or (I thought) cracked a rib. So, when I got here I got an x-ray done to check it out.
Yes, I could have had the work done in the states. But I went that route in June and was tied up in fruitless and expensive lab work until mid-August when I had finally recovered enough that there was no way they could find anything wrong.
The x-ray here cost $3.48 and only about 3 hours of my time.
I seem to be here when you are absent. Hope you’re doing ok and your families health issues have gotten better.

Yup. And if I wanted an antibiotic, I just go down to the drugstore and ask for it.
Narcotics are a different matter however. It is darn near impossible to get a narcotic i.e. vicodin/Lortab
If it is a minor ailment, I much prefer medicine here. However if my appendix bursts, y’all better pray for me.
That is just so interesting - how different things work from area to the other. Do you have a regular dr. there?
Actually, we just found out mil is back in the hospital with shortness of breath again. I’m waiting just a little bit to contact the nursing staff and try to find out more detailed info. She’s back on O-2 and resting more confortably.
The shingles are much much better. Thanks for asking. Yes, we do seem to cross paths at different times.
Not at the moment. She lost her visa and is having to reapply. We expect the family back in August.
She and her family left the country the same day I got here. She’s one of my best friends so that was not fun. We had about 30 minutes to chat and catch up with each other before they headed out.
A mutual friend provided the venue.
No broken bones and only a bit of irritation in the lungs.

I do miss that good feeling of having solved a computer problem. Even though I seldom knew what I had done right. Did you ever find out what the problem was?
