(Vanity Humor) Create your own Elizabeth Alexander Poem.
Vanity ^

Posted on 01/20/2009 1:08:16 PM PST by mnehring

So easy, a poet could do it.
The internet is full of poetry generators, most of which do a better job than Elizabeth Alexander's strange musings. My favorite, the Beatnik Rambler.

The United States
muscle hath United The are just its much 'cause athlete you
freaks am liking No, then dance, toes of the drug deeply. to sing, to
dance, to watch "Frasier" weekly...

yet time waneth not like unto the moon and whatever's there Dancing
the Boogah 'neath the big Disco Ball.

When is this ranting to end!? I declair. All this pointless waste of

air. Don't breathe! My soul on fire and while dolphins tweeted the dephts of the cloud

Try your own from one of these poetry generators.

That crap today was worse than the crap my artsy fartsy prep school classmates thought was cool. Losers.

How did that schlock make the podium? I mean, c’mon, seriously? WTF?

I thought I was hearing the ramblings of MeMo

http://blogs.chron.com/memo/

Obama will keep the Big Lebowski rug
Bipartisanship gone mad.
They’re keeping the fugly rug.

Obama has decided to keep the controversial Oval Office rug chosen by (and partly designed by) Laura Bush.

Have you seen this thing?
It looks like a cross between a bad state quarter
and a Grateful Dead album cover.
But I guess it’s staying.
Bill Clinton likes it, anyhow.

The Gisberg generator is brilliant but you have to censor half of of the results.. Here is an example that doesn't need censoring:

That is a damned fine imitation of maybe the worst poem I ever heard. It was atrocious.

No more Jackboot to make our strife.

Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits
On a lurgid bee
That mordiously hath bitled out
Its earted jurtles
Into a rancid festering [drowned out by moaning and screaming]
Now the jurpling slayjid agrocrustles
Are slurping hagrilly up the axlegrurts
And living glupules frart and slipulate
Like jowling meated liverslime
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes
And hooptiously drangle me
With crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or else I shall rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon
See if I don’t.
