We're down to the last few days of the Bush Presidency. Who among us doesn't have some concern about our nation's security in the months ahead? And will those who criticized the President so constantly on this front not come to recognize the margin of safety he gave us?

Israel continues to destroy Hamas terrorist sites and agents in Gaza,sadly, much to the world's apparent dismay and loathing.

Isn’t there always a picture of the President in such buildings? My post office and County Clerk’s Office have a picture of President Bush.

I don't know if there is a picture of President Bush at our post office. But I'm heading there tomorrow morning and I'll check. I suspect you are wrong in thinking there are always pictures of Bush in such buildings. I do recall that some teachers were challenged for having pictures of Bush in their classrooms.

FWIW, you were wrong when you said that other countries have cleaner slaughter houses than the US. Of course, I'm not quoting you but that was the gist of your statement. You challenged Guenevere and I called you on it. You were wrong then and I bet you're wrong now.

I just checked with both my local post office and also with our county offices. You are incorrect in the base assumption. There is no such requirement.

Oh! I forgot. You didn’t actually make such a base assumption. You were only asking a question (which revealed your point-of-view) and there is nothing wrong with asking questions, is there?

Actually, before I posted, I checked with the Public Building Services Office to be sure I was correct. I know that public buildings where I live display the picture, but I wasn’t sure if it was everywhere. The Public Building Services Office told me that was a requirement that a picture of the President is hung in federal buildings such as post offices, court houses, etc.
