Good evening!
We're down to the last few days of the Bush Presidency. Who among us doesn't have some concern about our nation's security in the months ahead? And will those who criticized the President so constantly on this front not come to recognize the margin of safety he gave us?
Israel continues to destroy Hamas terrorist sites and agents in Gaza, sadly, much to the world's apparent dismay and loathing.
Can one spend all day in a bathtub bubblebath??
How 'bout running circuits at the gym?
Under the covers???
Suggestions would be appreciated.

Well hello! Thanks for starting this new thread. I’ve made the mental switch from thinking long-term-in-the-states to moving-during-the-weekend. We’ll leave Saturday and travel until Tuesday morning next week. We’ll have about 8 hours on the ground at one point and we’ll check into the airport hotel during that time, get a nap and a shower.
Note to self: get a travel electricity converter kit. Mine finally wore out after 12 years.
Ideas for the 20th: go to the circus or flea market.
“Hi ho! It’s time to seriously plan our escape mechanisms for Jan. 20...”
Since I lost my job just after the election, I’m planning to sleep in. Once I get up and walk the dogs, I’ll be out back doing some target practice. Not sure if my Saiga will have been delivered by then but I will have my other toys and that seems like a good time to be away from the TV and honing some skills that I have let get rusty.
Our area flea market is next weekend. I’ll be doing a little shopping for my target practice that I will be doing on the 20th. Might even find a couple more toys.
There ya’ go. Good idea. I love your tagline.
Thank you. That dear woman puts up with so much and deserves much more than I will ever be able to give her.
I'll be at work on that dreadful day when America is going to get exactly what it wanted and deserves. Fortunately, there are no TV's in my area and I would have to go out of my way to see one. I will be listening to music CD's and possibly pre-recorded conservative talk shows from the day before and then only from hosts that refuse to bow down and worship this tyrant. Flea Levin, Savage, Rush, Hannity and Gallagher and a local guy, recorded from Monday, are all acceptable. I will not be listening to any of them that broadcast during the day on black Tuesday since they will all (even Rush) be forced to cover this horrible, embarrassing, shameful event of an obscenely arrogant, infanticidal tyrant becoming America's first Marxist dictator.
Good morning.
Thank you for the start, Molly.
Thanks for breakfast, lysie.
Hi, JT!
Ha. Yes, Cogress is a circus, too!
(((((JT)))))
Hi, Molly!
I am going to watch to make sure President Bush gets out of Washington safely. I also anticipate that there will be some total confusion, as the democrats have the organizational skills of their name-sakes, weasels.
What I am really praying for is a blizzard.
Hi ho! Its time to seriously plan our escape mechanisms for Jan. 20...
That will be my save energy/electricity day! ;-)
Minus degree weather headed our way!
