Good evening, and welcome to the new week's thread.
P-E Obama must find a replacement for Bill Richardson, Sec-Commerce designate, who withdrew his name Sunday.
Israel continues its incursions and attacks on Palestinian terrorists, AKA Hamas, in Gaza.
And many of us regroup after a busy season with Family and Friends in December.
So sad. Prayers for his family and family of the other 7.
I would love to talk to them about that. What a hoot that would be!
It was in his plan to make winter as beautiful in it’s way as spring is when the flowers appear. That is beautiful.
LOL..fer sure, dudette!
It looks like a glass etching of ferns. Beautiful.
When I see daffodils, this always comes to mind:
Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host , of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Outdid the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed-and gazed-but little though
What wealth the show to me had brought
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.
Hey there, H.O.B. I would gladly send you some snow if I got snow first. You can have every snowflake that comes to me. Yes, I am doing fine washing clothes at 2 am my local time.
We talked about Franken. We talked about the Vikings. Who ever thought they would come together in the same story!

It is amazing what stays with us. I remember an incident from my first grade where, in reading circle, my shoelace had become untied. So, since I wasn’t reading at the time, I bent over and tied it. Then, I noticed the other shoelace was lose. I moved to that shoe, pulled that lace the rest of the way, and retied it, too.
While I was doing that WHAP! I got hit with the yard stick. The teacher, and to this day I remember her name, told everyone that I wasn’t paying attention but untying and retying my shoes. I was shocked. I didn’t think it was wrong to tie my laces, but I guess it was.
Sounds like there is still a faint glimmer of hope that sanity will prevail.
Well, we’ve ended up not going anywhere. I went out at 1230 and got 8 cheese sticks and a chicken burger. It is now 2000 and I am still full!
We’ll go out tomorrow and maybe Sunday, too.
It may have a scientific reason for forming that way, but your windows were most definitely PAINTED BY THE HAND OF GOD. Thank you for showing me the beauty of cold weather.
Yes, that is another favorite.
He did the narrating during the concert.
He's the best!
One more:
Sometimes God decides to paint the trees, too.:)
....there's the fun part of winter.:-)
Ice storms are truly beautiful. Yet, it is dangerous to have all that ice on the trees.
I love snowmen. I love Calvin’s snowmen. Calvin has a really warped sense of humor. I love it.
I’m heading to bed.
Good night everyone.
Looks like amazing grace.
