“Working from home: Telecommuting logistics - how does telecommuting work?”
March 25, 4:06 PM
SNIPPET: “Once you’ve decided that telecommuting is the right choice for you and your family, you have to decide what kind of arrangement you’re looking for.
One of the first things you need to consider is your relationship with the company you’ll be working for. You’ll either be an independent contractor or an employee. You need to understand the differences because there are pros and cons to each.”

SNIPPET: “In today’s economy, many mothers find that they need an income to help support their families, but they long for an alternative to spending hours in traffic and more hours in a cubicle while their children are in daycare. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be posting about some of these alternatives. Today, we’ll look at the option of working from home.
There are a lot of advantages to telecommuting, but you need to have realistic expectations.”

“Jeff Elgin: Buying a Franchise
5 Unconventional Ways to Fund Your Franchise”
By Jeff Elgin | March 12, 2009
SNIPPET: “It’s been said many times, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” The credit crisis has made funding a new franchise much more difficult, but you needn’t give up hope. If you research your options and explore the new programs being offered by some franchise companies, it’s possible to find innovative approaches that can help solve this issue—even in today’s market.
The fact is that franchise companies still want to grow; and many individuals are still chasing the American Dream. Both groups realize that the lack of available credit is hampering their ability to make this happen. Solutions exist, but they often require some out-of-the-box thinking and aggressive efforts on everyone’s part.”
