Suppose he DOESN’T have a legitimate birth certificate - he couldn’t produce it.
Suppose he HAD a legitimate birth certificate. At this point, until tjhe courts make an issue of it (the media never will) there is no incentive for him to produce it. Few people consider it an issue - apparently. But then what?
If he ISN’T an American citizen, does Hillary waltze in and take over as the great uniter and get elected at the last minute and by default?
We are better off contesting him on the issues and beating him on the issues and later going after him for fraud if he is not a citizen.
My guess is that he was born in Hawaii but that there is something else very embarrassing on that certificate. A birth name, maybe.
But it’s all just speculation, isn’t it? that’s what people do when the facts are hidden - they speculate.
I think the tie with Annenberg means relatively little, if anything. What makes factcheck less than reliable is the obvious bias of those who work there.
While I won’t vote for Obama for any reasons, it has nothing to do with this. And if I were to discount an organization due to their “connections”, I would discount every organization. I sure as hell am not defending Obama, but the photos on FactCheck are pretty damned compelling. And if we continue to cherry pick our facts we get nowhere. Is it possible that he wasn’t born in the U.S.? Sure. If I were advising Obama (I’m a former atty and judge) would I have him turn over any more information than he already has? No. Why? Because he doesn’t have to and it just burns up the energy of the other side. Also, if you give up information every time you are sued, well, people are encouraged to sue you.
And I also really don’t care what someone’s religion is. That would be like condemning me, as a Christian, because of the crusades or claiming I am a pedophile because I am a catholic. While, of necessity, when we first get to know people we will apply the characteristics of their “group” or “culture” so we can interact, in order to succeed we then need to adjust based upon the actions of that individual.
So far, the jumping up and down and pointing at Obama as “whatever” approach just hasn’t worked. If it has, please point me in the direction of some real analysis by someone objective to prove me wrong.
So what have we done? Nothing except finger pointing on issues about which no one cares. The McCain campaign is nothing more than a dart with a dartboard. And as much as we would like people to think like us, the majority doesn’t any more than the majority doesn’t think like liberals. But if we hope to persuade, this approach we have chosen just isn’t going to work.
Effective leadership does not sit and wait until a problem explodes to do something about it. The effective leader will seek out such problems and deal with them at an early stage.
Witness John McCain's handling of his birth in the Canal Zone. He was sued about the matter, went to Congress, explained the situation, and Congress returned with a certification that he met the 'natural born' requirement specified in the Constitution. The lawsuit was then dismissed and the matter resolved definitively.
Now consider Barack Obama's handling of the situation. He ignored this problem at the outset (and the MSM willingly kept the matter quiet), and as it grew he kept ignoring it. He was sued about the matter (and the MSM willingly kept the suit quiet), and did not respond to the plaintiff's claims, except to request a dismissal. The fundamental problem was not dealt with, it was ignored. This is breaking into the public consciousness now (despite the MSM effort to suppress it) and may be a HUGE problem if he is actually elected. If he then produces a valid birth certificate, his game of rope-a-dope will be seen for what it is, a display of exceptionally bad judgement. If he does not produce a valid birth certificate, we have a situation that we have never had before, a man elected president that may not be eligible to be president. He is a lawyer; he is not stupid. He knows the implications and perhaps he hopes he can bluff his way through the matter. But that also shows a desire for power so great that all other considerations are set aside, a highly undesirable trait in a leader.
If that is his management style (roll the dice and see what comes up), it is a weakness of which foreign leaders will rightfully take advantage. That will lead to repeated crises in the international arena as everyone will take advantage of this perceived weakness to advance their own interests at the expense of the US and our allies.
Well, at least the opponents are entertaining....

I’d like to see other and similar examples of birth certificates within the same time period to see if this was the normal practice with Hawaii. Otherwise the authenticity is questionable.
I say it’s fake and created by some 20 year old that has no clue of what the “norm” was in 1961.

He won’t allow his transcript from his undergraduate days at Columbia University to be released.
He “lost” his thesis on Soviet nuclear policy (see “Where in the World is Obama’s Missing Thesis” which might provide insight regarding his seeming lack of knowledge about Soviet policy during the Kennedy years).
He won’t answer questions about his days at Harvard Law School.
He “lost” his Illinois Senate records.
He will only release a simple one-page letter from his doctor on his medical condition.
He won’t release his application to the state bar, which, as National Review’s Jim Geraghty notes raises questions about whether he told the truth about parking tickets and drug use, among other issues.
He won’t disclose list of his clients from his law firm days or the nature of the work he did for them as a lawyer (his clients include the indicted political fixer Tony Rezko).
He walks away from uncomfortable questions about Rezko at a news conference.
His cultists try to shut down inquiry into his stewardship of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge by sliming a journalist investigating his days at the helm of that group, which blew through $100 million dollars with no discernible benefit for the schools and students that it was putatively designed to help (what does the constitutional law lecturer say to the chilling of free speech by his acolytes?).
He tries to muddle his long-standing ties with Pastor Wright by producing a version of his attendance record at Trinity Church that is sharply at variance with previous versions he has given (”Obama Re-invents his Trinity Church History”).

He refuses to answer questions about Columbia and New York — which, in this media age, serves only to raise more of them. Why not release his Columbia transcript? Voters and the media are now exercising due diligence before Election Day, and they are meeting resistance from Mr. Obama in checking his past. Barack Obama is the least-examined Presidential candidate in American history. Partly this may be due to the fact that he has a paper-thin resume and few accomplishments. However, he does have a record and past (he is, after all, approaching 50 years old). An informed electorate is the foundation of American democracy — a principle which Senator Obama has ignored. The mainstream media — with a few courageous exceptions (the pages of National Review, Weekly Standard, ABC News correspondent Jake Tapper) — have aided and abetted Barack Obama’s quest to change history retroactively by immunizing him from any serious examination. Meanwhile they send the journalistic equivalent of the dogs of war to create their own history of Governor Sarah Palin (notably by pulling journalists off the terrorism “beat” to cover Palin’s record in Alaska).
He accuses people who scrutiny his record of being engaged in distractions or pulls the race card out and slurs them as racists. At times, he has all but accused people who inquire about his record as being stupid. He imperiously declares some areas of his life as being “off limits”.
For a man who constantly trumpeted the importance of transparency he seems to be adverse from applying that principle to his own life. He owes the voters a clear accounting of his past.
Why have journalists allowed Barack Obama to avoid scrutiny? The media has been called the Fourth Estate for its crucial role in ensuring that democracy thrives. When journalists abdicate their role, we all suffer. What is Barack Obama afraid of regarding his past? What do journalist fear to find?
When they rely on Barack Obama’s version of his life to become their stories they become nothing more than campaign workers laboring away for free.

Another thing that’s bugged me for a while is the time of birth posted on 0bama’s COLB. It shows as 7:24 PM and I was able to find a blank COLB on Google that also shows the time as 7:24 PM. What are the friggin’ odds of that?!? I believe it’s one in 1440. I’d bet my left leg that he wasn’t actually born at the exact time. See link:

From what I understand, Berg has already announced plans to appeal the dismissal to the SCOTUS. The best that the SCOTUS could possibly do - IMHO - is agree to hear the case on an expidited basis and having done that, agree that the District Court erred in dismissing the case. The result of that would probably be to bounce it back to the District Court to be reinstated there. Having said that, it appears Berg's chances in court are slim. His best bet is in the "court of public opinion."
I had heard from another source that Berg has in his possession more than the Kenya grandmother audiotape; and that he has a Kenyan birth certificate. I really don't know that for a fact at this point, since Berg has never mentioned it.
I’ve run into these strategery questions numerous times:
“What are you trying to achieve?” People who ask that question never seem willing to hear a correct answer. But OK, I’ll try once again.
Truth has its rewards. For example, it sets you free. “But how in this case?” That’s always the question.
Limited government requires mistrust of government. That’s the most basic answer.
For example, the emperor who has no clothes. If someone doesn’t point out his nakedness, it doesn’t matter, does it? If people realize he’s naked, that does something to their belief systems. It doesn’t matter if every judge in the land insist he has clothes. That’s not the only purpose of truth.
