My guess is that he was born in Hawaii but that there is something else very embarrassing on that certificate. A birth name, maybe.

Exactly! I think those who are saying he was born outside the country are not thinking right. You couldn’t hide that very long. There is something on the certificate like “Barack Muhammed Hussein Obama,” or some other name completely, that’s what this is about.
What else could be embarrassing? His middle name is “Hussein” for crying out loud. If that doesn’t faze at least 40% of voters, nothing will. I still believe McCain/Palin win 54-46.
Actaully, it’s his job to convince the voter that he’s qualified. Factcheck.org [Annenberg] doesn’t count. So he’s zip, nadda, Zero on the most fundamental part of running. I don’t think it’s ‘fringe’ to question his factcheck.org creds.
This is my guess too...I read an article that surmises that perhaps his name is "Barry Dunham" on his birth certificate and he doesn't want anyone to know. He then would have changed his name upon a muslim conversion. That or a Kenyan birth are the only reasons I can think of that would make it worth NOT putting forth his birth certificate.But like you said...WHO KNOWS??

Someone needs to pull a Joe the Plumber and hit him up - in front of the cameras - to verbally authorize the release of his full “vault version” long-form birth certificate. He’d be totally unprepared for it and would stammer and stutter. He may say yes in the heat of the moment (the video would be enough to take to the Hawaii records office) or he may react in such a way that the story would become front page news and the subject of a lot of news coverage. If he says no, he can be pressed to answer “why not? What are you hiding Barack?”
