I'm starting this thread to counter act the surrender threads currently out there. I wasn't at today's McCain rally in Minnesota. I only see what the MSM packages for me to see, which I suspect was intended to demoralize.
I choose not to be demoralized. And I ask that those of you who are going wobbly to stop it. I will still gladly vote for McCain/Palin.
Thank you! I’ll need you around as my General when the defeatists come out in real force!
OK. Just wait, you’ll see. I know McCain.
This is the right attitude. Right now the only thing keeping me sane is FR and Sarah.
Now that being said, the case is always made that the person we vote for has to give us a reason to vote for them and not just against the other guy. But like our VP pick, this may be the one circumstance that defies conventional wisdom.
We do have something to vote for: our liberty, our national security, our freedom from government oppression is all at stake. The Supreme Court, Senate, House, and the WH are all at stake. We will be the laughingstock of the world of the terrorists, Russians, Chinese, etc. Our servicemen (and I’m one) will be placed in a tough decision of whether to get out and have to struggle in a horrible economy or stay in and serve for a US Government that believes its own troops air-raid villages and kill civilians? This election is about the future, the chance to get to the future. If Obama wins, we are more than screwed.
McCain took a situation that the Obama camp meant to demoralize us, and did the work for them.
Now you will get to see a great ad for Obama from now until Nov 4th, courtesy of McCain.
Peachy.
He knew this report was coming for a long time now, so it isn’t exactly a surprise. Why would he bail?
Senator McCain and Governor Palin will get my vote.
To the cut and run cowards, This is for you and
here is for the camel you rode in on.
We'll whip these sad little puppies till they straighten out!
I heard him approve a message that said obama's acts are dangerous. Then I heard him say that obama is a decent person and not someone I have to be scared of as president. So he's not really dangerous. But you're right. He didn't say he was withdrawing.
I wasn’t going to vote for John McCain until he chose Sarah Palin - now I will vote - but it will be for HER, not HIM. I am more scared of an Obama presidency - but I have to admit that it scares me also - the thought of a man being our president that cannot fathom the reality that when Sarah speaks “REAL straight talk” aimed at “REAL conservatives” - his poll numbers go up. And when he opens his mouth & talks this crap about how good of a man Obama is, blah, blah, blah - his numbers go down. If he cannot see that he needs to go out & fight against his opponent - how can I expect him to stand up to our country’s enemies?
I’m voting for him, but I am completely demoralized by him.
Amen sister! I am with YOU!
Count me on your side. I just did a rant on another thread about the same issue. The alternative is so bad that I don’t see how anyone could think about not voting for McCain/Palin. In fact, I will go so far as to say they are not Republican or Conservative because Obama is the most liberal member of the Senate, pals around with terrorist, encourages ACORN, did a suit against Citibank for ACORN, went to a black liberation church for 20 years, and the list goes on.
People need to quit whining and get out and work to make sure that Obama gets no where near the WH and the power that goes with it. Losing is NOT an option.
Keep up the great work!
I’m with you. We can rip McCain a new one after he wins. Save it people for after the election.
Worrying about the right time to prune the roses is the only thing that comes to mind.
I agree with the exception that they are not 'warning signs' ... he is pretty darn open and clear with his agenda. And if I hear "my friends" one more time! For the love of pete, get a new catch phrase John.
If they are decent, then they are not roses that you should be scared of as president.
Just sayin’
This is by far the best vanity post all week. Honest and from the heart. And upbeat and positive.
McCain will win in spite of thw whining, spineless naysayers.
thx
