Yes, Pritzker....I first heard her name and Obama connections and wealth mentioned on the radio about 3 weeks ago, then you posted about her.

I think the original context on the radio might have been wealthy liberal guilt:-)) and the damage it can do to us all!

Agree about Hewitt. I love his interviews....saves me from reading many books!...but his judgment is iffy at times.

Now it's back to work...my desk is a mess, then there's the basement...did I mention the kitchen and the yard???

Went to a yard sale with grandsons and found two Star Wars ships. #1 grandson is so excited. His dad just gave him many Star Wars toys that he had when he was ten-thirty years ago-so its been Star Wars all the time since then. #2 grandson was happy with a Mcdonald’s toy shaped like an order of french fries.

Hi Bev! Don’t know if you keep track of Washington state politics- governor race. Rossi being sued by Gregoire supporters for using GOP instead of R on his signs and on the ballot and suing the builders association that is a big contributor to his campaign for some bogus pretend pac violations. Elected as Christine Gregoire-immediately became Chris Gregoire—”it’s for the children” spent wildly while times were good and we’ll be paying for it now when the economy here is weakening. Hope Rossi wins but he’ll still have the state democrat congress to contend with.

Yes it is dry here. We did have some rain, which we needed, a day or so after Ike hit, but really not enough to do much good. We still need lots of rain. The stock tanks have been losing water.

Evidently these instructors know little of what’s going on today and listens only to the 6:00 o’clock news. Had they been around in the late 20s they would have done the same thing they are doing today. They young fellow has those instructors pegged. Maybe he should think of working for a conservative Republican...not a rino.

Thanks for the link. I get pretty testy when it comes to these apparently sightless bank/loan regulators.

During our annual internal compliance audit last year we were told by the internal auditor that we were late by 30 days in re-printing one particular form we needed in our compliance book for 2008. He said that if the real auditors had seen that we could’ve and would’ve been fined $30,000.

Needless to say we corrected this slight paperwork oversight right then and there. But if little businesses like us are going to be threatened with such minutiae and the big boy regulators are allowed to get away with behaving like Ray Charles, it makes a person wonder if they aren’t on the take somehow.

I should clarify that the form that needed re-printing had absolutely no changes in content from the 2007 version. It only needed to be re-printed with the fresh date.

Well you know what I think we should do??? I think we ought to start a little fund drive going! Yes, a fund drive!

We can call it The We're Sorry We Screwed You Fund, and the donations would go as follows:

Start with the $25 Million Golden Parachute Franklin Raines got but didn't deserve from Fannie Mae, plus, oh, say $50 Million from the bonuses he got through fraud (he actually got $60 Million, but hey, a guy's gotta eat);

Add $20 Million from Jim Johnson's bonuses he got through fraud from Fannie Mae (hiding compensation from regulators, tisk, tisk), plus oh, say about $10 Million he got through fraud and corruption (read: Sem. Dodd and Rep. Rangel);

Add another $16 Million Jamie Gorelick got as bonus from cooked books (don't cry for her, she made over $24 Million);

Throw in the $33 Million that the Lehman Brothers guy still has but shouldn't after driving that firm into the ditch...

Let's see, how much is that so far??? $154 Million??? I know it's chump change, but if any one of us had pulled this stuff we'd be slapped with fines big-time, let alone trying to figure out how to pay for the lawyer to get us out of federal prison...;-))

Hi Molly! I'm just getting home and catching up. I have been shouting from the mountaintops that we must abolish the CRAT party and replace it with a Constitutional, law-abiding party. We MUST have a 2-party system, but the CRAT party must NOT be one of those parties.

The sub for Bennett is Ernie Istook, former Repub. Rep from Oklahoma (my growing-up state) and he is VERY conservative. He has filled in for Bennett several times in the past.

Did anyone hear Rush today? They wanted to make it look like he was President. He IMMEDIATELY LOST CONTROL OF THE MEETING AND THAT IS WHY IT ENDED IN NOTHING BEING DONE. Hi girlie, hope you are feeling well and getting around ok.

Mom went to an inpatient rehab facility yesterday (Helen Hayes Hospita), not without much drama and strong arming by my brother and his wife.

She’ll be there for a few weeks, depending on how well she cooperates and her real desire to go home.

Its been a week, but my sister and a niece are up from VA and will spend the weekend with her...then next week i’ll take over visiting and see what the long term will be later on.

I’ll keep ya posted as things proceed.
