Heads up everyone. The left is starting to push out a new smear against Palin. I just got an email in a 'dummy' account that I use to troll talking points from leftwing groups. They are using the photo below to pose as Conservatives on forums and blogs and say that Palin refuses to wear an 'American Flag' that it is an Israli flag. The truth is, this is a "Blue Star Family" pin honoring a son in service. Apparently the left has no idea what this pin is or they hope enough gullible people don't look into it.
Worth saying again.
Win or lose, she may have single-handedly saved the party. A new and inspiring generation is standing up.

Governor Palin is wearing the blue star in honor of her son's commitment to America's Navy. I forget which ship he is currently assigned to.
I think Governor Palin is allowed to wear 2 blue stars once her son leaves for Basic Training on September 11, 2001, right?

I just remembered that the blue star is intended to be worn for each immediate family member directly involved in our war efforts.
So, to be clear:
One blue star currently for her son in the Navy, and another blue star for her son in the Army if he is stationed in Iraq or Afghanistan, right?

There is a scene at the Ryan home where you can visibly see the flag with 4 blue stars on it. Each star notes a son deployed in the war effort.

In all fairness, the pin does look like an Israeli flag in the photo posted. The border doesn't show as red, and it doesn't show at all on the right and left.
Sarah Palin has a nephew in the navy which was mentioned in the speech last night. Her son is in the army.
