Good morning.
Gustav heads inland s. of NOLA, and the R convention plans are on hold, day by day.
In several ways, that phrase works for Palin.
Also, again, speaking as an Am. history lover, she reminds me of our pioneer women who risked much with courage and grit, strength and love.
Michelle Obama is NOT in that tradition
Have to run up the road a ways so I better get moving...
It took me a while to get through all those articles. Every one of them is a gem. While the opposition talks about change, we can now proudly point to our ticket and agree with the RATS. We need a change from Washington politics and Sarah Palin is far from that. She made eye contact, not just with the audience, but she looked straight into the camera and spoke to US. She connected with us from her daughter who rejected, at least for a time, her parents’ values, to her child with a handicap, to being an active member of the PTA and to her blue-collar, union card-carrying husband.
All the opposition can do is talk about helping “the little people in rural America.” Palin says, “we don’t want your help. Get out of our way.”
After that exciting night of Gov. Sarah Palin, lysie, I’ll have a little bit of everything. What an exciting speech!
That young lady is afraid of NOTHING. She was terrific. I loved her comparing her experience to nobama.
I got a kick out of Piper taking care of her little brother. She noticed his hair wasn’t exactly as it should be so she licked her hand and smoothed it to the left of his head, then she cleaned the sleepers from his eyes. She wanted him to look perfect. She was darling.
I watched F&F this am. Brian’s interview with biden was worth the watch. biden’s eyes were in constant blink mode. I think he was nervous.
There is a thread discussing the fact that HALFWAY THROUGH PALIN’S SPEECH the telepromter broke. She delivered half of that speech from memory.
Just wow!
WOW is right!
Unbelievable!
Is this for real?
Well, gotta get going. I’m just having too much fun thinking about Sarah’s speech. Whatta a gal.
Shoot, I thouht I was better, but at the moment, after dealing with essential business, my muscles are shaking. I guess I will still be avoiding heavy machinery, etc.
Thanks for the links Molly. I particularly enjoyed the looooooong moments of booing that the crowd indulged in against the drive by media. I believe that the entire nation (except for the liberal loonies of course) was booing right along with them.
Good morning everybody, we arrived safely at my in-laws. Another year has passed and they’ve both aged although fil is looking particularly thin and more frail. sigh....
I am thrilled!
LOL!
Palin delivers star-turning performance at RNC
I wonder if the word went out to the media to lighten up because a backlash had developed.
Great links, Molly. Thank you.
Please, take care and continue to rest. You don't want a relapse.
You’re so right.
Wasn’t there a cartoon character in the early to mid-60s that said, “So right” with a mexican accent?
LOL!
I think it was a ventriloquist. The dummy was in a box and the man (forgot his name) asked okay? The dummy said all right.
Señor Wences.
