The Dems' Crazy Convention gets underway. How much of it can you stand to watch? I need a volunteer to watch my share...let me think of some inticement for this huge sacrifice...
Fay - the Storm which Won't go Away - continues its tour of the South.
What a day, predicted not rain, got out and started hauling stuff to the street and WHAMO! IT POURS...They keep saying now might get some big storms, I am hoping that they are wrong-—one more time.
Bad news for us, CAleb’s 3 month old brother who the kids were trying to get custody of, she is 21 and now has had 7 kids, you figure, died in SC and it is suspected that the child was shaken to death, she did the same thing to Caleb when he was a wee little tot and this is the reason we ended up with him, hey caught it while when was shaking him and saved him. A criminal investigation is going on in SC right now, they were suppose to get him to us a month ago but did not follow up and so now, he is dead. Really shook SIL and Tracy up and me as well, how in the heck can folks be so cruel to children.
Off to watch a little news on politics like I expect to get anything else so will talk to ya’ll later.

Whoa, Jemian! The Nobama’s Family Care video is much more powerful than the other one. The other one sorta, kinda sugar coats Obama’s lack of care and concern for his brother - this one just pokes it right in your face!

The flashes were an aberration caused by the HUGE floater I "gave birth to" last Thursday at Mahjong. He said he could see the jelly-like vitreous material in my eye, However, as with the last one I had in April, it too will dissolve or fade away or my brain will retrain itself so I don't see it.
At any rate, it will just be a nuisance for a day or two and then it and the flashes be gone forever. I told him I refused to believe it might be a retina detachment and figured God had just given me my own personal fireworks display to view with my right eye.
COSTCO, Fred Meyer, Safeway, JOANNE'S yarn shop, ROSS and the DEALS ONLY store were SO happy to see me :-) Gas has dropped to $3.78 in Seaside - still $3.85 at COSTCO. It needs to drop another $2.00 or so!!!!!
Since my right eye is still very dilated, I won't be able to work in my yard this afternoon but I can certainly do housework and laundry! Love and hugs, ABC
Praise the Lord. Several years ago, I began seeing some flashes float through my field of vision. I was so glad to learn they were just the vitreous jelly stuff, too.
FYI, we’re still having off-and-on storms here. We’re just keeping a weather eye out. I’m using it as an excuse to learn how to operate my Bernina sewing machine. It would be easier if I had a human to guide me through it, but that would cost money I don’t have. So, trial and error, give up in frustration, read more, try again.
I will tell you what this has done to me, going to start making BIG waves for the so called youth services, 400 kids that are under the care and inspection in our three coastal counties and only 7 (including office help) social workers. They go to work there and leave only after a short while, you can see that there are problems staewide with the system. I have taken on the state in the 70’s and got a new department started, Ms Bureau of Narcotics so I am willing and able to start big time to get things changed.
That is just the way I am.

I heard Friday but IMHO Thursday would be better. Nobama is old news, people are tired of hearing so much about him and announcing the VP choice will steal some of the noise from the RATS. That is all to the good.
Hubby is watching Quigly Down Under. I am watching Tom Selleck.

I almost sounded like a lib with that statement. I don't like government intervention, but if it could save young ones, I'm for it, even though, I don't know what "it" would be.
LOL! I watched Selleck in some mystery a couple of weeks ago. He played a worn down police chief on the trail of 2 psycho killers. It wasn’t a bad movie.
I don't seem to be having that problem on other sites.
