I had a Cute Thing Happen Here a Few Minutes Ago: a Beautiful Swallowtail Butterfly Came and Landed on my Potted Flowers Outside, and One of the Resident Hummingbirds Flew at it and Scared it Off; I Guess he was Jealous and didn't Want the Butterfly Bothering "his" Flowers!
Meg, I loved you doggie picture and the framing was so pretty!
I’ve been in and out all day in the rain.
Love, love, LOVE that pic of Dubya holding that adorable puppy. Am sure your Doggie is still giving you lots of puppy love, even if he's not still a puppy!
: )
Right! That would be about like the NOW folks....always in a wreck of “some kind”. Gosh, 2006 is only two years ago, did Susan’s illness come in a hurry or slowly. Two years is not a real long time, is it. You do not have to say if you wish not. I just wonder why about things sometimes.
You could have posted another pic. of your doggie today if you had another one. Hummingbirds get a little wild at this time of year. I was telling someone on this thread a day or so ago that my hummingbirds are fighting something fierce. But I love them so. I always enjoy every single post you make, with your thank you’s, hugs, etc. You find pretty ones Kitty.
Wonderful post on 2754, Billie. I just love that song too. Sigh...
Wow, great catch there with the camera. I’m lucky if I can catch the grandkids. ;) By the time I see a Hummer, it’s long gone by the time I find the camera.
Those Chickadees are adorable.
Harrumph....I wish there were 9 of us. Sadly the 9 stands for Grandkids, and I’ve gained two more since then, lol. Will be working on the Great-Grands next.
I would help you tho Yorkie,.....as long as you fed me some of that great food you’re always talking about.
Thank you, Cardy. I sure saved some of those. I never realized that Paris was that crowded. Wow, I’d be lost there. I guess I’m too used to this country living. ;)
You’re making me sooo tired, Cardy. I don’t know what I’d do with all that stuff you have. I’ve seen it, and I wouldn’t want to be there at all.
Rots of Ruck, ol’ boy.
Yes I do Billie. I love cream cheese frosting. My husband just cut into it. Maybe instead of my fruit for dessert I'll have just a sliver of it tonight. I'd rather have a big chunk.
I’ll post the recipe for you. I wrote it out for Derrlak this morning.
Derly......you have Fmail, lol.
CARROT CAKE
Bake at 350 degrees
Mix:
2 C sugar 1 C oil
Add four eggs. One at a time.
Sift together:
2 C flour 1/2 t salt
2 t soda 2 t cinnamon
Add and beat 1 minute.
Fold in:
3 C shredded Carrots 1 C walnuts
Bake in ungreased pan for 1 1/2 hrs but check often with toothpick after 1 1/4 hrs. Will be very moist, but wait until top is set.
I buy the shredded carrots, and some are fine enough as is, but some I run through my small Cuisinart to chop more. Either way will work. I use a non-stick, large tube pan and it usually takes 1 hr 15 mins. I have also cut the recipe in half and baked in loaf pan, but watch the time on it.
Frost with Cream Cheese frosting.
Lots of bytes on this one Billie, sorry. :(
That is beautiful Grannie! You sure are a smart, talented lady! And the Carrot Cake, I’d give anything for a slice of that now. Would you email it to me? LOL~~~
Few Primary School Had A Cow
A horse kept an eye on an impatient cow behind Few Primary School on Tuesday morning.
A frightened cow is safe and receiving treatment after escaping from a local veterinary office on Tuesday morning.
The cow escaped from Jasper Animal Hospital on Highway 63 West, and actually managed to cross West Gibson Street without getting hit or causing an accident. She made her way to the playground behind Few Primary School on Bulldog Lane where she was captured shortly before 11:00am by Jasper Animal Control Officer Ted Byerly and an unidentified man with a horse and cattle dogs.
Other than a bloody nose and some scratches, the cow was fine.
There were no children on the playground when the cow came bounding across the campus.

My art is in the kitchen, Grannie. I love to bake, cook, prepare delicious meals.
It is my forte. I majored in art in college - but should have gone to cullinary school, instead. LOL
Oh, Thank you, Jaycee! I Enjoy All your Posts; you Find the Cutest and Most Beautiful Things!
You could have posted another pic. of your doggie today if you had another one.
I haven't been Able to Take Another Real Good Pic of Doggie, because she Always Lies on her Back for me to Rub her Tummy whenever she Sees me, Lol, but Here are 2 Very Short Videos of her Barking her Adorable Bark. : )
Ping to my Sweet Sister in Christ, Purple, so you can Hear my Doggie's Cute Bark! : )
Beautiful, Grannie9!
