That “Red Sails in the Sunset” is absolutely gorgeous. And I’ve always loved the song. I listened to it before I posted.

Wow, Billie! You've outdone yourself again with all these cute/interesting/funny celebration graphics (love the little horse booties, LOL), and the Red Sails in the Sunset opening is so pretty.
Thanks for opening the doors today.
To: Billie
Tsk,tsk, tsk, what will I celebrate today??
Loved your graphics with the celebration events! Great posts!
I might make my own luck like going to buy a lottery ticket~~LOL~~
To: DollyCali
Morning, Dolly - that's kinda funny, in a way, but things sure have changed - the Age of Innocence is gone.
To: Majie Purple
LOL - you said it! I was having the hardest time trying to figure it out - even with the sailboat in the opening it didn’t register. :)
To: jaycee; Cardhu
Thanks, jaycee - I'd been looking for a sailboat pic to fit the song, which I'd seen posted on the 'early' Amy's Place, and lo and behold, I found it in "one" of the PPP's that cardhu posted that wasn't too large for me to download. Dressing it up was fun. :)
And in answer to an earlier post you made that I must have a lot of bluebirds.....yep! I sure do, and though I love them all, I have favorites that I can't help but go back to. This is one of my *most* favorite of all:
I just smile every time I see this cheerful little thing. :)

You know, after all the details we always put into our Finest threads, this is a piece of cake!
Weren't those horse booties the cutest things! LOL

I found this little guy flitting around my lilac tree yesterday and managed to get a photo of him/her. The original photo is not good, way too much light behind the bird and I forgot how to set my camera to force the flash. I just knew he was going to take off before I could get my camera set. But, with a lot of photoshop tweaking and manipulating, I managed to get a half way decent image of him and hope you don't mind if I share it with you all. This looked to be a very young hummingbird with very little color.
Grannie9, to answer your question from a couple days ago; no, we don't have Chickadees around here. I would sure love to see one though! We do have "Lesser Goldfinches". They are sweet little birds.
And, congrats to GeeBee and Maj on your new cameras and Cardhu on your new computer!
Thanks to everyone for the pings yesterday, I saw them all, just didn't have time to reply. Today is going to be a busy day too. You all have a good one, whatever your plans be, and I'll be back when I can get back.

Lori, that is a GREAT picture! You sure can do incredible things with that camera of yours!
It reminded me of this amazing hummer shot. The photographer says he hopes it will make us smile. (It sure does!)

When Texas had their first Lottery Tickets available, I bought one every now and then - never won a thing, but the anticipation was sorta fun - "would it be a lucky number this time?" The new wore off pretty quick and I haven't even thought of buying a ticket in a long time!
I'm glad you're enjoying today's 'holidays' - we can post doggie pictures to our heart's content - 'cause it's Dog Day!

That's so pretty, Lori! I don't think there's any way I could ever capture a LIVE hummingbird with my camera! But oh, how sweet they are to watch!
Chickadees? :) We were chickadees once, remember? :)
To: MEG33
Thank you so much, Meg.
And I LOVE how you framed those darling doggies!
To: MEG33
Good mornig, Meg - how's it going today? Cute doggies!

Thanks, yorkie. This is what the actual photo looked like. I almost tossed it in the recycle bin, then decided to take it into PhotoShop and see what I could do with it. :-)
Oh my gosh, how cute is that hummingbird drinking through the straw! Thanks for that link. It did make me smile.
To: Billie
I DO remember that we were once Chickadees.....and I can STILL sing higher than an angel! I love that graphic. :-)
