Meg, my best friends and I bought the litter of three yorkie puppies, almost 12 years ago. Two of us already had dogs - and that white one on the couch looks exactally like my one friend’s dog, PeeWee.
So, when I saw that picture, I had to take a second look - there was PeeWee, flanked by two of the new ‘family’ additions!
Now, that is spooky. (*smile*)
I do, too, Lori - think how many times I had to redo it to add and/or subtract a bird or two. But those 'hostess' graphics were always fun to do - we've been birds, dogs, cats, little women, owls, elephants, bears.....:)
SOOOO true, Dolly! Many of my friends (and/or their kids), are home-schooling their children today, for many of those same reasons!
One friend’s son had his nose broken, his lip split and his arm broken (three different occasions) by a bully at school. The school kept telling the parents that they had taken proper measures, and the parents should stay out of it.
Finally, the son decided he would fight back, if the bully ever touched him again. He did, and the police were called, and my friend was told that his child (8 years old) would end up in juvie for ‘attempted murder with a deadly weapon’ (his cast).
He is now being home-schooled, and his parents are still forced to pay taxes to support that school and pay the teacher’s salaries.
Yes, its an itty-bitty darling graphic!
I thought you might like this, yorkie!

Oh, goodie!
I just happen to have these photos of my Silly Sissy. I couldn't find her for the longest time yesterday, then looked up on my bed. There she was all wrapped up like a mummy in the sheets with just her little face sticking out. A Kodak Moment!
She does love to sleep!
Oh, how cute they are!
This is so pretty, jaycee..Thank you and good morning.
Makes me want a dog even more..but I have no fence.

Thank you for the hummer shot..They are so difficult I read..I have loved having the ruby throats this year..I had none last year.
I have a beautiful bluejay on the patio pecking..darned squirrels have vacuumed up all the food. The bluejay doesn’t come on the patio often.

Sojourner Truth- A famous and popular public speaker of her day. She was a former slave who cared deeply about women's and African American rights. Her most famous speech was ‘Ain't I a Woman?’ given in 1851 at an Ohio convention.
Susan B. Anthony- A long with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, she founded the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA). Of the two, she was the public voice and often organized and traveled. In 1872 she tried to vote for a presidential election and was ‘found guilty’. She refused to pay and no one made her. Anthony was also the first female on U.S. currency. (The coin was later replaced by the Sacajawea dollar.)
Elizabeth Cady Stanton- In her partnership with Susan B. Anthony, she was considered the theorist and writer behind the conventions. When they founded the NWSA, she acted as president. Also, she worked to give woman equal guardianship of children, give property rights to married woman and insure divorce rights.
Carrie Catt- Carrie started off by being a lecturer in the woman's suffrage movement. Soon she was involved with the NWSA and was chosen to succeed Susan B. Anthony as president. (She didn't become president until after Anna Shaw.) After the 19th amendment she continued to empower women by organizing the League of Women Voters.
Lucretia Mott- With Elizabeth Stanton she co-wrote the “Declaration of Sentiments” which is deliberately similar to the Declaration of Independence. As a feminist and an abolitionist, she struggled between the split priorities of women's and African American rights; acting as president of the American Equal Rights Convention.
