The limestone contains two distinct prints one of a human footprint and one belonging to a dinosaur. The significance of the cement-hard fossil is it shows the dinosaur print partially over and intersecting the human print. In other words, the stones impressions indicate the human stepped first, the dinosaur second.

If DogBoy is right about the age of the dyno tracks, then they are way beyond teenagers, and they had such big feet for kids...
If dinosaurs were cavorting about with modern humans, where are their bones?
We find bones of all manner of extinct fauna and early humans in sediments dating to the last several millennia, but no dinosaur bones. Where are they?
Ooops, sorry, saw the “lesbian” in the nic and just guessed. Should have known that was a /sarc or /joke nic...
Show me human fossil remains, not even adjacent to dinosaur fossils, but in the same rock layer anywhere on earth.
Surely if man and dinsosaur co-existed, this would not be a hard challenge.
Read again, this time carefully please. No apology will be necessary.
“Is it not possible to be a creationist, IOW believing that God created the heavens and the earth, AND ALSO believe that the earth is many billions of years old?”
- Grunthor
There is an entire industry selling crap to creationists. Books, movies like "expelled, and geological fakes like these footprints are all money makers.
**the Bible is either true or not. It says six days, not six indeterminate periods of time.**
God created a ‘turn-key’ earth for Adam. The amount of time needed is minimal when one also has the ability to turn H2O into H2O, carbs, and alchohol; instantly multiply MREs (loaves & fishes), raise people that have been dead for days, etc. Oh, and of course, the supernatural experience of receiving the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues as the Spirit giveth the utterance. (”..thou HEAREST the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is EVERY one that is born of the Spirit”)
The wine looked like wine, tasted like wine, yet skipped the long process to become wine. Likewise, the loaves and fishes. Instantly reverse the decaying process? “Lord, by now he stinketh”.
I would much rather be a Christian wrong about creation (though I don’t believe that I am), than an atheist wrong for rejecting the Creator.
The choice is obviously yours. IF you are wrong, and your soul awakes to judgement, then what? Curious minds would like to know.
Is it not possible..”
Welcome to Freerepublic and I hope your short trip from DU was a good one
It’s a fact of human nature that all of us are attracted to “evidence” that supports our pre-existing belief, especially if we hold that belief dearly.
So, I understand why creationists would jump all over this claiming it’s the AHA evidence. Believers in evolution are vulnerable to this as well. Piltdown Man is a good example of that.
The difference is that no creationist will expose this thing as bunk.
“Welcome to Freerepublic and I hope your short trip from DU was a good one”
Given that I’ve been here for more than a year, you can shove that noise.
Your mistake is assuming that those who are convinced in the truth of evolution don’t believe in God. Some don’t, I suppose, but you’re condemning an entire group of people erroneously.
Many believe God, as the Creator, chose evolution as a natural mechanism to arrive at the world as it is today. Remember, evolution doesn’t try to tell us how life began; it only tells us how it changed over time.
BTW, I’m an “old earth” creationist. Here’s a link you may find interesting. (Interesting website, too.):
I see you call Washington state home. I’m originally from Arizona but I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington (History, ‘78). You can imagine how a desert rat like me took to the three Pacific Northwest seasons: cold rain, warm rain, and dry (with intermittent periods of...rain). Thought I was going to have to develop gills and webbed feet to survive!
Take care.
You have accidentally hit upon the best argument for evolution. The existence of so many biological mechanisms argues against a supernatural, let alone perfect, creator. A creater unbound by nature, wouldn't need to conform to natural solutions.
I just want to know the truth.
**Show me human fossil remains, not even adjacent to dinosaur fossils, but in the same rock layer anywhere on earth.**
Bear in mind the historical record of Genesis. Man was placed in a world teeming with plant and animal life. Yet man had only lived in a portion of the earth (the Middle East, as we call it today) before the flood came and etc.
**Surely if man and dinsosaur co-existed, this would not be a hard challenge.**
I’m sure people weren’t stupid during the flood, standing around letting the water go over their heads while staying put at home. The landlubbing dinosaurs probably didn’t climb mountains as well as people, hence were buried in sediment first. JMHO.
**I just want to know the truth.**
Nothing wrong with that.
Unless you believe all fossils were caused by Noah’s Flood, something that would be impossible, you would still expect to find human and dinosaur fossils buried in the same rock stratum in some situations if they co-existed.
That doesn’t happen. Not once. Not even somewhat ambiguously.
If you do believe in Noah’s Flood, you would expect to find creatures of all types in the same rock stratum. There should be one HUGE rock formation correlating to the Flood where we find everything. Dogs, cats, humans, T-Rex, mesosaurs, etc.
Not there.
We don’t and it is not even a matter of interpretation.
This did not happen like you want to believe. You can deny it or you can adjust your thinking, but you can’t make up your own facts. The rocks tell the story.
Surely if man and dinsosaur co-existed, this would not be a hard challenge.
Clearly you have no concept of how little of a human remains after being cycled through a dinosaur...
Grunthor might introduce you to his cat, Angror:
So, every human that lived in the time of the dinosaurs was eaten, so that's why we find no contemporary fossils.
Do you have the slightest clue how utterly ridiculous that position is? Apparently not.
It's very hard to argue with people who don't use their minds.
