was that the toy sub that used mom’s baking powder (or some such)to submerge/surface? Baking soda was the "fuel."
I found these on line several years ago and sent them to my brother for his 60th birthday.
Racoons had gotten all the fish in his koi pond so he put them in there.
His wife, who is German, called me while he was outside and said she was worried that he had lost his mind because he was laughing so hard.

She got my into shortwave radio and scanners which led to ham radio.Before my family got the internet I got a Grundig SW radio for Christmas (and Grundig's weren't cheap back then hell they probably aren't cheap now). This was back when WRNO broad casted on 15420kHz and Rush was aired live. It was great because we lived in Wyoming at the time and that was the only way we could listen to Rush--the Rocky Mtn states were troublesome for any real DX'ing so I never really got into it or amateur radio further. I always figured that someday I'd be in professional radio but that never quite materialized.
I would like to know though if WWV still transmits, I had a theory for a long time that dictators used it on political prisoners to torture them. I know it tortured my parents at night. :)
