Supreme Court Boosts Obama
Newsmax ^ | July 3 2008 | Dick Morris & Eileen McGann

Posted on 07/04/2008 2:29:27 PM PDT by murron

The nine august justices of the United States Supreme Court — or at least the five conservative Republicans — chose the wrong time to make a sea change in constitutional law, admitting the Second Amendment to our pantheon of civil liberties.

By demonstrating how willing they are to toss aside decades of jurisprudence in pursuit of a conservative agenda, they sent a chill into the souls of women all across the nation and resurrected fears that Roe v. Wade is next on the chopping block.

Huh?

Is this supposed to be sarcasm or facetiousness?

I always suspected Dickie was a fool, political tactic skills notwithstanding, and now he’s proved it to me. Or did the Missus write this one?

Dick Morris is an Idiot, I just wish that the conservative talk radio hosts would quit inviting him on and treating him like someone worth listening to.

This is the most retarded thing I’ve ever read.

Justice Kennedey is a conservative. No.

Precedent trumps what constitution actually means. **** N0!

Voters are against gun rights. WRONG.

Go suck a toe Morris.

Morris got popular in the same way that Scott McClellan did with liberals: he was an insider who turned on his boss. If conservatives get tossed aside he’ll be right back on CNN like Fox never existed.

You’ve got that right. Morris is on the talk shows all the time pimping a new “book.” How many of those puppies does he pump out each month anyway? I’d be willing to bet that if the November election turns out the way it appears that it’s going to, Morris will be a liberal ‘RAT next year and writing “books” about those nasty conservatives.

I felt the same way. Had to read the entire article to find out that Dick is serious.

Jurisprudence, my butt. The Constitution trumps activist jurists. They made the correct call, albeit, they weren’t calling loud enough.

Ya’ know, Dickie, you tend to put your FOOT in your mouth a lot, these days. Be careful, your reputation is becoming TOESst. And that SUCKS.

Wow! What a confused argument...

Conservatives are supposed to ditch a real Constitutional right just so we don’t scare the feminazis into thinking we’re going to ditch a non-Amendment “right”, and maybe get a few of their votes.

Remember the background of Dick Morris? He was performing with a prostitute in a D.C. hotel. The price of his not being kicked to curb by his wife, who was/is a hot shot lawyer, was that she got joint billing, and joint ownership of all his books and articles for all time to come.

Well, in the case of this incredibly wrong article about the impact of recent Supreme Court decisions on the presidential race, I think she actually wrote this piece of tripe. The truth is the exact opposite. Obama will be hurt, not helped, by recent Court decisions.

Ezpecially the Gitmo prisoner decision will remind Americans of the kind of silly-putty judges that Obama will appoint, if he ever gets the chance.

In this case, Dick Morris has his politics exactly upside down. And the reason is that he had to give up control of his articles as a result of his sex habits. Remember, Morris worked for and with Clinton all those years. That's where he learned his ethics.

Morris and the Mrs showing their true colors once again -— LIBERALISM.

Hey, Dick. Strict gun controls assure that law abiding citizens have limited access and in many cases no access, to firearms in order to protect themselves and their family. At the same time, criminals have no problem whatsoever in getting their hands on as many firearms as they want.

If you want to stop the right of Americans to keep and bear arms, amend the Constitution. Otherwise .....

“Dick Morris is an Idiot, I just wish that the conservative talk radio hosts would quit inviting him on and treating him like someone worth listening to.”

The Toe-sucker himself!

I think it is great fun that some of our camp treat his declarations with seriousness and have given him a home among us.

Conservative agenda? The individual RKBA is clearly protected by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, you nitwit. The conservative SCOTUS justices - Scalia, specifically - simply spelled it out for the uneducated among us.

...sent a chill into the souls of women all across the nation and resurrected fears that Roe v. Wade is next on the chopping block.

These women you speak of are feminist/liberals who won't be voting for McCain anyway. In fact, they've never voted GOP in their lives.

Hey Dick, best stick to stuff you know -- toe sucking and making faulty (a 100% failure rate, in fact) political predictions.

You're an embarrassment to this country, Dick.

Morris was fired because he became an embarrassment to Clinton; but at least, unlike McClellan, Dick had been involved in the Clinton decision making process and could offer real insight into Clinton’s actions and thinking. Unfortunately Dick’s only skill is at pandering and he always tries to tell people what he thinks they want to hear, not a trait that helps a talking head have anything worth hearing.

Dick Morris is Jewish. Like most Jews he has strictly an urban background (New York and DC in his case), and, his ancestry probably has been here less than 100 years...coming out of very heavily government controlled Europe. I’ve never been able to figure it out but for some reason it’s very hard to find pro-gun Jewish people (except maybe in Israel), even with political moderates like Morris.

Of course Morris is also a hired-hand professional politico (I bet he’d work for Obama if the price was right) and rarely do those who play both sides of the aisle garner much respect—and Morris is no exception.

Morris is a smart guy though (how else did Clinton win a 2nd term just 2 years after the Republican take-over of ‘94?) and one can always learn from him, even when he is wrong, as in this case....

Shows you how little these two know.

They've made me much more aware how important it is to have a least a chance to put a conservative on the bench.

SCOTUS: one of the few reasons to vote for McCain.
