Awww. How disappointing. I bet Bit has something to do with it.

I've heard this before, once, but it is worth linking here. Nobama is a Post Turtle.

I’ve only been able to keep up with the flood stories peripherally because of traveling, but what I’ve read has indeed been horrific. Hospitals evacuated, railroad bridges out....yikes.

Fresh water supplies very low or non-existent, hotel chains begging guests to not flush toilets or take showers to try and not make further demands on a terribly over-stressed situation.

Prayers lifted for all affected.

Glad to see you are feeling better but still not over-doing.

My neighbor ( and hairdresser) has been missing for about 10 days and yesterday I finally saw her walking her dog. Her little hot dog waits for me to greet her and pet her....but anyway, Linda told me she had a gall bladder attack, went to the doctor and was admitted to the hospital last week for surgery. She is now just getting around!

You need to take care as does she.

Oh my, prayers for a complete healing for Linda. I have heard those attacks are horrible. Mine just didn’t work - period. I had mine out about 9:30 and was in recovery at 10:30. My son was in my room at noon and I was home around 1:30-2:00.

I’ve been re-potting plants for the past hour. I have a Citronella that has grown so tall I had no choice but to transplant it. But nothing weighed much, so I’m ok. I used the old potting soil from old pots, so there was no carrying a big bag of soil around.

Flood waters are devastating especially when they reach that magnitude.

Prayers for all in need.

It’s hard to stay “down” when one is used to being busy and active so I can relate finding something (anything!) that you can do without stressing the operative site.

Healing does take a lot of the body’s energy though, so rest is imperative.

Not that I don’t crawl the walls too, whenever I can’t be up doing my normal stuff, don’t ya know...

:^)

I assigned the IP address and it automatically assigned something else ( DNS server?). I’ll check. Gateway, huh? How did you get that?

Were you in your motor home?
It seems the traffic begins building up east of Jarrel and reaches a critical-mass of bumper to bumper traffic before Pflugerville. We now take the Texas Tollway beginning in Georgetown and it was beautiful sailing to the airport. Of course it was quite early in the am, before the morning work traffic began, so I can’t say how full it is during working hours.

I noticed yesterday while watering that my yellow rose bloomed and I missed it....

Yellow roses bloomed, eh??? How are ya feeling today -- a little run-down, maybe like you may be coming down with something??? ;-))

It's good that you have family close by, kassie. But please do take care.

prairie, know the feeling of climbing the walls. But at this time in my life, I'm so busy I meet myself coming and going!

Came home to quiet so I could finish my AMr online course. Passed the first part Basic First aId. I came across Jemian's R.I.C.E. protocol!

That’s the truth...If I’m not here, I’m somewhere doing something. I just discovered, I forgot to “finish” the pencil drawer on a desk I cleaned and stained. You should see the pencil drawer...it is filthy. I’m so glad someone invented Clorax. So...I’ll clorax the inside, outside, check for spaces that need to be closed and finish the darn thing. How could I forget that drawer?

Oh, this morning I checked my yellow climbing rose and something happened to the buds and flowers, they’re brown and dead. I just watered and fertilized it..My little antique mini rose and pink fairy sprout still have green stems.

Were you in your motor home?

Mr. Prairie was driving the RV, daughter and I were following in her car.

Medical people make terrible patients. The worst, probably.

Sad news about Tim Russert, one poster said it was reported the heart attack happened in front of other colleagues.

Additionally, although the story has gotten lost somewhat amidst all the flood stories, the tornado that hit KS State University and Manhattan KS area did tremendous damage.

So, so sad.

While Tim and I didn't agree on many issues, he seemed respectful of other's opinions.

My condolences to his family.

This is a shocker!
