Hi, does that apply to woman these days too?
(I am widowed over 3 years and thinking of dating now.)
How do men in their 40’s feel about women asking? I married at 18, and lost my husband to ALS. Grew up in a small town and girls never invited guys out first.
That's a very clever approach!!
LOL
I agree that sometimes they are a little overdone, but I still find most of them very attractive. I don’t see them as any more “sexed up” than many of the women working in any office complex at almost any company in the country. I’m fortunate to work in a petrochemical plant where the women are usually dressed more casually, but the look of the Fox News anchors doesn’t seem at all strange or out of place to me.
“does that apply to woman these days too?” Most assurredly!! I by no means am an “expert” in dating, however my rationale has always been “just ask.” A yes is a great answer. A maybe can be changed to a yes & a no can possibly be changed to a maybe!! The rest is all up to me.
Now as far as “growing a set” I would discourage ya on this!! Just get the nerve up to ask someone you’re interested in to join ya in a fun activity & see where it goes. You’ll do just fine..Best wishes.
That pic is a great idea. If you’d waited just a little longer for more darkness.....faced the camera and looked down......PERFECT. I used to paint a few silouettess of cowboys at sunset in acrylics. My ex took them because he liked them so much.
I’m on dial-up since I live in the country. You tube is not my friend. :) Anyway...I looked up the lyrics and that was a good song!
I was married for a loooooong time before I divorced and began dating. It was a culture shock. Just be careful....
LOL!!! You don't know how true that can be!!
Thank you.
LOL!
Just been out a couple times with friends and wow, you are right, huge culture shock!
From age 17 to 43... I was busy with married life, kids, etc. The last time I'd dated (at 16)... you could pretty much figure out where people were coming from. When I started dating at 44....I was lied to so much, I lost count.
People will do or say almost anything without so much a flicker of conscience. (And I'm speaking of supposed Christians here....since I didn't involve myself with unbelievers) I went through a 2yr period of a self-imposed dating sabbatical because of not feeling like I could trust anyone.
I'm not trying to discourage you...... just giving a word to the wise. Trust but verify. If they sound "too perfect"...put your antennae up...and be wary. *smile*
That is why I have waited the last year or so, wanted to make sure my feet were firmly on the ground. I have found that there are a lot of misconceptions about younger widows.
I am blessed with my friends (the committee that really runs my life) who give me great feed back, and my boy who protects his momma.
Pastor gave me great advice- “be the chooser, not the chosen” and never lower your values for anyone.
On the topic of crushes, I have enjoyed the couple I have had lately. Know nothing will come of them, just fun to feel alive again.
THAT is the part which is the most fun... to feel alive again. :) When you spend so many years caring for others....it's almost an indulgence of sorts.
So we finish on Christmas Eve about midday or the last working day before Christmas Eve and come back on the next working day after 1st January.
With my personal circumstances of having to save as much holiday for hospital visits etc with dad I rather like this as it a way of having a week off but only loosing 3 or 2 and half days of leave.
there are a lot of cute men out there! And it is fun just to look. LOL I sound like a teenager.
heh heh!
You look like you’re thinking, “Not that sh*t again!”
