Good morning!
Fateful week in national politics. Who predicted we'd be at this point back in January when it all began? Those earliest primaries were supposed to settle everything so quickly! The political gods have a sense of humor......
Then. got to thinking again just how us bosses of the household (men folk) have on our plate every day, making decisions, being the banker of the household, making out grocery lists, paying the bills on the fist of every month, making lists of what wife is to do each day, oh what a tough job husbands have but we prevail.........
AMD pigs fly, right? But is really like my wife use to do, just lower the head a little and look at me with those big ole brown eyes with ‘buster, don't push it’..the message was received loud and clear.
We got to go to the youth place today for the worker to see Caleb, monthly thing and get some food from the Wick for the kids. Have I told ya’ll just how proud I am of D and SIL? AND yes, hopefully one more ‘youngun’ will come to us, the brother of Caleb, God willing.
Sheesh, I woke up on the dangerous side this morning, think I will get in the bed, get up on the other side and start my day all over again, before I get in trouble.....
‘Ole Toby’
YOU sure are making me gain my weight back, keep er up, I love it!
You sound bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning, Mr. Toby!
Love it!
She was raped at 9, gave birth to the fist one at 10, ain’t slowed down yet.
My daddy was Mr, I’m just plain out ole Toby...
My crazy Colombian dentist. He’s a hoot. Turned 44.
So, you have the can't sleeps, too?
LOL
LOL
I get them every morning...I wake up way before the alarm, most of the time between 4 and 5...and that’s not the way I always used to be...must be gettin old...;-))
Thank you HOB. I’ll check them out and probably even order their catalog to see what else they have.
Yesterday we spent the day in Waco. Roomey had 3 VA appointments, the usual 6 month checkups. The VA really does preventative medicine. He’s healthy as a young horse. Then we rushed home, for his and Boy 2’s birthday dinner. Luckily they both love baked shortribs.
Today I’ll spend part of the day making a purse for our sewing club next Wed. I’m going to use a McLeod Dress Tartan piece of material.
Oh trust me... they’d remove you so quickly from 1st class and dump you without a parachute over the ocean!
I have a feeling I am not going to win the congeniality award today.
I was thinking the same thing.
Can you describe the purse? It sounds like fun!
Good news: my daughter's house escaped any damage from the tornado that authorities in Belmont, NC, think touched down early this morning. Around the Raleigh area, however, there was one death, much damage, and 2 tracker trailer trucks blown off I-40.
You sound very chipper this morning, Toby! So good to see you're back to funning. (LOL...Is that a word?)
SCB, we have those high gas prices because of the EPA’s decisions to keep the land air and sea superclean for prosperity and our great thinkers, the elected royals don’t have the backbone to open the oil fields and build the new refineries our oil industry needs. We have so much oil in this country it’s unbelievable, yet we depend on Mid East oil to keep us going. It’s sickening. I wish there was a way we could put a bomb under those folks to make them think more for Americans, than foreigners. We can see what our petro dollars are doing in the Mid East. Beirut, for example, Iraq and Afphaganistan for others.
I’m off to start the studies. This is officially the end of the K-11 education of my beloved son. He begins community college next month for dual credit in English I and in July for English II. In the fall he’ll take Calc based Physics, and Spanish I both for dual credit and in the spring of 09 he’ll take six more hours of something. I’m sure it’ll be a math coure and perhaps Spanish II(?) He’s not sure yet. So this Fall marks the FIRST time in 12 years I won’t be his primary teacher. I’ll only teach him Religion. All of this preparing him to attend St. Thomas University ‘09. It’s here in Houston. A very small university. (sigh) I’m really going to miss that boy!!
Oh my goodness, that is GREAT news concerning your daughter.
Prayers going out to those in need in the Raleigh area.
Good Morning. Just a quick drive by post this morning. I am outside in the Seed Shed, helping out until the ‘regular help’ arrives. BBL
