My name is Jessie from the United States; I am 30-years-old,i`m a career woman. I work in an insurance company, learning Chinese almost a year. China's Tibet after the incident, I have read many Chinese sites, though not all understand, but a year of learning is not wasted. I found that our own media reports in China and Tibet there are many things inconsistent, in some cases are completely reversed the facts, when I heard C-N-N's Jack Cafferty with the insulting remarks at a shame, I do not know Whether they live in a stress on democracy and freedom, speaking on the human rights of the country, I want to say is, the world's media and the public an objective and impartial look at this problem, at least this is China's internal problems, we should not with discrimination Vision to look at China. I love China, love Chinese people, China is a great country. I hope that the world care about China like a friend of China have to support my hope that everyone here can help, let everyone understand more of China. http://www.chinese-family.com

Let me guess.
You graduated from high school with all "A's" in English.
Then you went to Harvard, where you majored in English.
Am I correct?

(Scratches head). My guess is that she is from that part of the US that has a common border with Vietnam.
To: jessie1
Here's my guess - she's a naturalized American born in a foreign country that isn't China. Here's another guess - she's ethnic Chinese, and may speak some variant of Chinese, but only knows the written language of the foreign country in which she was born. This is why her command of English is shaky and her command of Chinese isn't great either. Bottom line, she could be telling the truth about her status.
At the same time, the sense of entitlement to empire is a permanent fixture of Chinese political thought. This is why China's name for itself - zhongguo, or central country - conveys the meaning the of the center of the world, and its emperors have claimed to rule all under heaven.

You know Jessie, if you had claimed to be a Chinese woman who has been learning English for a year, we might have believed you. But generally people from the United States know how to write in English, so we're not buying your "30 year old American" jazz.
Jessie, I am a Christian, and one of my fellow Christians was the wife of a pastor. He ran a house church, and one day he was arrested by your security bureau for holding unregistered services. That night (in the wee hours of the morning, actually) her phone rang, and an angry voice shouted at her to come to the police station and retrieve her husband's body. When she arrived, she found that the police had beaten her husband to death, but claimed he had died of a natural cause. They screamed at her, demanding she cease her weeping over the body, colllect it and leave.
That is what your nation is, jessie. Don't ask me to see it as some wonderful land of lollipops and rainbows.

Not guilty!
I figure if the question is “Ginger or Mary Ann” the answer is Mary Ann any day of the week. You have to wonder about The Professer though...he faced the Ginger or Mary Ann question and his answer was “Coconut radio.”

The ast time I went to a Chinese restaurant, there was this loudmouthed idiot a couple of tables away telling his buddies about his personal knowledge of a Chinese restaurant that was shut down in Rockford for using cats as the meat in their food. I wanted to get up and shout, “YOU COMPLETE MORON, WHY WOULD SOMBODY PAY A RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE TO BUTCHER A CAT WHEN THEY CAN BUY CHICKEN AND PORK FROM A RESTAURANT SUPPLIER FOR A PITTANCE? DID MOMMY DROP YOU ON YOUR HEAD WHEN YOU WERE A SMALL CHILD?” But of course, I restrained myself. I was proud to see my son surrepticiously making fun of the guy, though. :-)
