Purple Haze , Hendrix.

“’scuse me while I kiss this guy.” What? What’s that you say? What do you mean those aren’t the actual lyrics? Nothing could be more clearly heard than, what? “kiss the sky?” Doh!

Hah!My husband swears that Bruce is a gay name. And Kevin.

No joke. When my wife was pregnant with our first she had a pile of baby name books. She and some friends went away for the weekend so I am a buddy proceeded to hangout, drink, and play Halo. He was leafing through the books. One of them also gave the "meaning" or the name and things associated with it.

So he flipped through and found his name. Bruce. I swear this is true, the book said after Bruce, "May be gay".

SLIGHTLY off topic—The gayest video of all time? I don’t know for sure, but Bowie and Jagger’s “Dancin’ in the Streets” and Jackson Browne and Clarence Clemmons’ “You’re a Friend of Mine” have to be, uh, up there.

How could the miss this one:

Holly came from miami f.l.a.
Hitch-hiked her way across the u.s.a.

Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her leg and then he was a she
She says, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
Said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side

Candy came from out on the island
In the backroom she was everybodys darling

But she never lost her head
Even when she was given head
She says, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
Said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
And the coloured girls go

Little joe never once gave it away
Everybody had to pay and pay

A hustle here and a hustle there
New york city is the place where they said
Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I said hey joe, take a walk on the wild side

Sugar plum fairy came and hit the streets
Lookin for soul food and a place to eat

Went to the apollo
You should have seen him go go go
They said, hey sugar, take a walk on the wild side
I said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
All right, huh

Jackie is just speeding away
Thought she was james dean for a day

Then I guess she had to crash
Valium would have helped that dash
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side
And the coloured girls say

Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
(doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)
(doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)
(doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)
(doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo)

My husband always said that a good name was one of the apostles except for Judas. He liked Matthew, Mark, Luke and JOhn. Or English king names. He hates the new names especially the ones from soap operas.

“Don’t let your son go down on me.” was Elton’s original lyric.

Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze."

"`Scuse me, while I kiss this guy."

Have you heard Robert Plant and Allison Krause’s CD?

I caught the two of them in concert on CMT... Hearing Alison Krause sing Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks" was a revelation. I haven't actually heard the CD though. But regarding the concert, I can't explain it, but it really worked.
