I saw a post where it was said a hydrogen tank was leaking at the refinery. Nothing on the news about this. Should we be worried? I am up in Kentwood off work today.
Welcome to Free Republic. You should probably post this at the thread already started though:

Lots of smart folks already posting in that thread. Hope this helps.
Are you sure?
I used to work in refineries at random and out of those times I had to shut off my equipment and run to a "safe area" at least six times, not counting cracker start-ups where it is a known danger
There is already a thread for this: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1972224/posts
I’m sure you will hear from others also it’s best to learn the ropes around here before posting topics.
It’s the top headline on all news sources at this moment.
There might be a little bit in the news about it:
Explosion, fire at West Texas refinery
BREAKING NEWS: Explosion Rocks West Texas Refinery
Explosion Rocks Oil Refinery In Big Spring
Not to mention this FR Thread: Huge refinery explosion in Big Spring TX
Hydrogen leaks are generally not dangerous unless confined. The gas is much lighter than air and goes straight up unless it gets trapped somehow, then watch out.
I should add other heavier than air gas leaks (near everything else but natural gas) are more dangerous. They lay on the ground and will usually drift around until they find an ignition source.
