Hydrogen leaks are generally not dangerous unless confined. The gas is much lighter than air and goes straight up unless it gets trapped somehow, then watch out.

I should add other heavier than air gas leaks (near everything else but natural gas) are more dangerous. They lay on the ground and will usually drift around until they find an ignition source.
