Good morning!
Hillary lost more caucuses over the weekend. The "superdelegates" are beginning to attract major attention.
And Hillary's longtime friend and campaign manager has stepped aside, for another longtime friend and aide, Maggie Williams.
Have any of you electronically filed your fed and state returns?
No, we never have, lysie.
Good morning. Yes, Lysie, in the past I have. It was no trouble at all.
Good afternoon everyone.
Good afternoon, Dog. It looks like another bad guy bit the dust.
Yep..scratch him from your dance card....:-)
Actually ~~ nothing. I checked the latest earthquake map and we’ve been fairly quiet. It seems that Baja California is getting some rattles but nothing over here. East Timor has had a bit of a dust-up politically. Everything is quiet here.
I’ve been perusing the headlines on the news side of the forum. McCain sure seems to have almost as many proposals for government programs as the RATS do. Yesterday, I read a comment somewhere that we really have a one-party system masquerading as two; that it is just the degree of government which is the argument and not least government vs. big government.
People don’t seem to realize that the parties choosing their nominee doesn’t have to limit us to those two choices. A group of my friends can get together and nominate whomever we wish. We just have to do it 50 times to run in each states’ race in November. Chairman can correct me if I’m wrong.
I just had time to read 2 of the articles I linked above...one about AlGore, and the other, Billy Boy...
As I started each one I thought: this has GOT to be a parody, but Noooooooooooooo! It wasn't...Folks we are in heap big trouble..
lysie, you feeling better this afternoon?
One bright little note: at lunch today after rehearsal the subject of medical care came up - because, sadly, one of the gal's husbands is not well - and someone said "Good thing you don't live in Canada, you can get him help right away!..And several of the others chimed in, agreeing. THEN - a miracle - someone else connected the dots, and said: and don't for anyone promising national health care! Wow! We usually don't discuss such stuff....
Hello! It is nice when someone else makes those points and you don’t have to be the one. Light bulbs come on and the crowd begins to see that you’re not such a kook after all.
I’ve been meaning to tell you that I have enjoyed reading your descriptions of your choir’s activities. It is so dynamic when a piece of music comes together and the performance is electrifying. You can feel the music as well as hear it.
At any rate, he is not as powerful as he was. His 16-year old son has been named his successor. Yeah, like those in the higher eschelons will just let some kid move in and start giving them orders. Their egos won't let that happen.
Each day I improve. Still, I can't do as much as I want.
That is a bright note!
Thanks, Jemian... singing yesterday at Severance Hall...we thought we'd died and gone to heaven...next up: Haydn's The Creation...
Guess it's time to face TWC and the forecast for tomorrow...
I've always said he is alive..
OK, I got it out of my system. Flame away.
Oh. Sorry. I get mixed up. Please forgive me.
I just want to know.
The Bill Clinton one IS satire. There is NO WAY he would say such things on the campaign trail, NONE! As I said on that thread, he may be many things, but stupid isn’t one of them.
And the one about Carter and Gore SHOULD be satire. Algore IS the punchline to a joke. And how anyone with any sense can listen to either of those two is simply hilarious!
