Good morning, and welcome to Super Duper Tuesday Week...It's also the culmination of Mardi Gras, and oh yes, there was a big football game of some sort yesterday...
Hollywood Writer's strike is expected to end this week...
lysie, freepmail in a moment.
Returned FRmail.
>>Presidents Can’t control the Economy
What hogwash.
Robert Samuelson must have been asked by the Dems to write this.
Reagan vs. Carter is still too vivid in my mind.
>> I keep asking what’s the point of running the dishwasher if he’s going to clean them before putting them into it?
Many people do that. The older dishwashers couldn’t clean as well and people rinsed off the dirt. Or people stacked the dishwasher wrong and thought it was the fault of the machine.
Now tell me, do you know if salsa dips get hotter the longer they sit? LOL!!
And interesting comment that I didn't realize was posted by FReeper Cicero at comment number 40
Actually, there is no FEC at the moment. The Dem-controlled senate has refused to confirm any of Bush's appointees to fill the gaps, and there are not enough current members to constitute a quorum.

I respectfully disagree and hope that Obama gets the nomination. If the sHrill one gets it, all those black Democratic voters will STILL go to the polls and pull the lever for a D, despite the way they’ve been treated by the Clintons, but if Obama gets the nomination, the Clinton machine will do its best to make sure that the R wins so that she has a shot for 2012, and preserve her HINO’s “legacy”. (Can you imagine the lamps that will get thrown? LOL!) On the other hand, there is a LOT of Hillary hatred out there, so if she wins the nod, a bunch of all these new Dem voters might stay home.
Obama is the one who would give voters a clearer choice between the parties, and the most likely to be seen as destroying the military. Whoever the R candidate is, Obama is an America-hating vacuum, and presents a clear choice. When people get their heads out of their, er, well you know, they WILL get uneasy with either the Clinton or the Obama team in charge of our military, much less America’s pursestrings.
Thank you.
The media will do all it can to elect either of them. But if the Democratic Nominee is Obama there is zero way McCain could say a single word against Obama with out being accused of Racism.
And if Obama is the nominee and either Clinton does anything public or private to try to take him down, Bill And HIllary will get what I call the Republican Media treatment.
The media loves Obama.. if the Clinton's mess with his campaign they will be the media's number one enemy. Bill and Hillary DARE not try to take him down.
I don't fear a Clinton administration nearly as much as I fear an Obama administration.
I just read some Republicans were not allowed to vote in CA. How about them apples? I wonder if someone messed with the list?
I agree. If McCain wins the tv presstitutes, ie, chrissy M and Oderman, can bring things to us that we never knew so hillary and obama will take the election because they have been talking about their Christianity.
When that is explained to you, please have the explainer come to me with why when there is a sink full of sudsy water do people stack their dishes next to it, instead of a dip, a wipe and swipe and rinse. Ouila! The dish is clean!
I don't think so. People who run for president (lately) and don't make are not usually granted a second chance. The exception to that are the ones who throw their hats into the ring to begin the process of name recognition and idea sharing. But if a candidate gets as far as she has and doesn't make it, it is usually over.
Not a huge amount compared to some of them, but interesting, I think. FWIW.
Thanks for the responses
Thanks, HOB.
I’m listening to Rush and the caller “Suzanne.” Neither could name the RNC chairman. It is Robert M. “Mike” Duncan. FWIW
They want to pick a Republican based on the Dem States (Calif, Ill, NY, etc-—cause McCain will lose them in the General election

I’m still thinking through my options about the election. I’m hearing the “Stop the Witch” arguments. I won’t vote for McCain. I’m thinking of a write-in candidate for my ideal candidate. Hunter is out; he isn’t ideal. Romney and Fred are out for the same reason. I’m thinking strongly of JEFF SESSIONS. A third-party candidate won’t win. It will be a symbolic vote.
Just thinking out loud.
