Amen, Jaycee.

We should celebrate "We are all here today" everyday.

Thank you for that reminder.

Have a great day!

Thank you Mama Bear, it is so appreciated.

It seems like every day we find something else that needs to be taken care of, & each thing has several steps to it to complete it.

Yesterday I took a day of vacation & took dad to a courthouse in a small town over an hour away because his 2nd wife commited fraud & got a lake lot they had together put in her name. He never took care of it after the divorce like he should have. It was supposed to be sold & the proceeds split. The 2nd wife has 2 judgements against her for $7,000 & $33,000, she was probably going to sell it to pay her debts. I hope we aren't too late to take care of it. Uh oh, my neck & shoulder muscles are getting tense.

Warning: Melts at Midnight

Poor Cinderella, whose stepmom was mean,
could never see films rated PG-13.
She hadn’t a cell phone and no DVD,
no notebook computer or pocket TV.
She wasn’t allowed to play video games.
The tags on her clothes had unfashionable names.
Her shoes were not trendy enough to be cool.
No limousine chauffeur would drive her to school.
Her house had no drawing room; only a den.
Her bedtime, poor darling, was quarter past ten!

Well one day Prince Charming declared that a ball
would be held in his honor and maidens from all
over the kingdom were welcome to come
and party to techno and jungle house drum.

But Poor Cinderella, with NOTHING to wear,
collapsed in her stepmother’s La-Z-Boy chair.
She let out a sigh, with a lump in her throat,
then sniffled and picked up the TV remote.
She surfed channel zero to channel one-ten
then went back to zero and started again.
She watched music videos, sitcoms and sports,
commercials and talkshows and weather reports.

But no fairy godmother came to her side
to offer a dress or a carriage to ride.
So Poor Cinderella’s been sitting there since,
while one of her stepsisters married the Prince.
She sits there and sadly complains to the screen,
if only her stepmother wasn’t so mean.

Is it a snowstorm, or is it nothing?

LOL! Very clever, OESY. ;-)

That's an interesting "nothingness" poem. That and your The Snow Man offering are causing me to ponder the deeper meaning.

Happy "nothing" day. I am off to tend to my roses.

Thank you Mayor. Your prayers & scriptures are much appreciated.

I think I will copy that I send it to my sister, who has done the most to help me in all of this. I have one brother who has helped some, but I think he’s having a hard time dealing with our father’s eventual death & has bailed on doing much lately. My brother likes the girlfriend. She’s a nice enough person, but I still think she took advantage of our dad when he bought that farm for her. I asked dad the other day whose idea it was to buy it & he said both of ours (his & his girlfriend’s).

Butting in here, so you can ignore me if you like. It sounds like what she did was establish a Joint Tenancy on the property and all his worldly goods, makes her the executor of all. I discovered this when my uncle died, that his wife had done this effectively cutting out any of his blood relatives (not hers). He was the first to go and was not fully aware of this. State laws regulate these issue; you need a lawyer.

Your “Dirt Roads” link is great; I love it. The part about a car full of zucchini is funny and oh so true...:) Chin up.

If I could fit that in my tagline I would. I love it and it’s been in my website for 3 years. When times get tough it’s comforting to read.

God Bless you and your family right now, I can understand what your going through more than you know. Keep looking up my FRiend.

Uh oh, my neck & shoulder muscles are getting tense.

Well, I can sure understand why! I hope your siblings are taking some of the burden of this difficult family situation off of your shoulders. It so often happens that the care of a parent all falls on one person, I truly hope that is not the case with you.

I know your plate is full, but hope you will be able to check in every so often and let us know how you are doing.

Take care, friend.

Ohhh ... Dita! You are not butting in.

I’m hoping all at Amy’s Place will remember PAL in their prayers. Also, thanks for the lawyer advice.

Thank you for the advice and the prayers for PAL.

Hugs.

Great graphic. I'll have to reconsider it tomorrow, confident she'll still be beautiful.

Twas nothing.

;-) Later, friends. The Bear has left the building.

Oh, but wait....first, have you all seen this? It is very touching and I just had to share it. I had seen it before, but it arrived in an e-mail this morning and I thought it was worth watching again....

This woman found a lion hurt and about to die. She took him home and took care of him. When the lion was better she called the local Zoo. This was the reaction she got when the lion saw her. Enjoy :)

Lion Kisses Rescuer

Okay, NOW I am out of here.

Thank you for that info. The deed on the farm says, “joint tennacy with right of suvivorship”, which I was told, by a lawyer, gives her the farm when he dies. I did not know it would give her anything other than the farm & possibly whatever is on it. He has 3 trucks and 2 trailers. She drives one truck, he bought it used for her for $1,800, he said she’s paid him $30 towards it so far. One that he drives, & a 4WD that they use on the farm. But she told me he set the 4WD truck on fire when he worked on a fuel leak on the carburator. So would tennancy on his farm establish tennacy on all his properties, accounts, etc?

Thank you for the info and encouragement.
