I’ve been mostly shut in due to ice for the past few days, just venturing out Thursday. Yesteday I get a call from my firend in FLorida wanting to know if I’m ok. At least that’s what she said. I think she was calling to tell me it was 70 degrees where she is. Y’all suck.

They were hot! But they looked cute as the dickens.I'm sure they were adorable. Honestly, I'm looking forward to turning off the a/c around here for a few weeks.

ps - It’s snowing here in Iowa now, that’s on top of maybe 3-4 inches already. I’m gonna make a big pot of soup, get some cocoa and relax a bit.

The Big Mews been jonesing for a generator, while Ive been thinking we should get a snowblower.Got a fireplace and wood yet?
That takes the necessity out of the generator.
Snowblower? Pfffft. Go out there and get your exercise. ;^)

Three years ago I bought a snow blower. Its never blown the first flake of snow. All you folks in the mid-atlantic region...Youre welcome. LOL!!! I'm over on the Eastern shore and sure could have used that blower this past Easter :)

I was stuck along with hundreds of thousands of other commuters in a hellish 6-hour commute on Thursday when 10 inches of global warming fell in a matter of five hours. With all that idling in gridlock in blizzard conditions and then having to fire up the snowblowers when we all got home, we are going to have a hard time paying off all our carbon offsets.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to turning off the a/c around here for a few weeks. LOL! Hubby laughed at me the other night. We had a fire going in the woodstove in the living room, but it got so hot up here in our "attic" office that I actually went and put a pair of shorts on and openned the windows.

Cleaned the pool and dumped chems. Roasted coffee on the patio while I read. Sent out the last batch of Christmas cards to my frozen friends and family up North...*sigh* So glad I moved to Florida as soon as I graduated.

Sigh. I’d love a fireplace. The closest we get is on Christmas Eve, the TV channel that broadcasts the Yule log burning, like they used to show when I was a kid. I love that :)

We sold the big 8 horse blower when we left Minnesota. A very good machine that had plug-in electric start so my wife could get it running when I was travelling...

Yeah, mine is running right now, mainly because it’s so humid today. The beach was really choppy, I guess that storm out there.

I’m sitting here in warm mountain weather remembering the plains of Kansas decked out in acres and acres of bright yellow May flowers.

LOL on the Scotts :)
We are supposed to have freezing rain over night. Ice (here) means no power...the worst...cold and dark...elec. range so can’t make the mandatory french toast.
Stay safe everyone!!!

We bid that storm good riddance.
It didn't drop much snow in our part of Colorado, but the Arctic air and wind chills were BRUTAL!
Looks like a warming trend today with a temp of 17 degrees right now:-)
