Curt Schilling vs. Ubaldo Jimenez
AccuScore has run more than 10,000 simulations for every World Series game for Yahoo! Sports, calculating how each team's performance changes in response to game conditions, opponent's abilities, roster moves, weather and more. Each game is simulated one play at a time and the game is replayed a minimum of 10,000 times to generate forecasted winning percentages, player statistics and a variety of game-changing scenarios.
Boston winning 66.8 percent of World Series simulations
AccuScore simulates each playoff game and the entire playoff series 10,000 times. This season, the team that has won over 50 percent of series simulations won their series with one exception: New York won 51 percent of simulations over Cleveland. AccuScore correctly projected Colorado to upset both Philadelphia and Arizona, but in simulations vs. Boston, the Red Sox ride home-field advantage and the dominant pitching of Josh Beckett to win 66.8 percent of series simulations.
The forecast below is based on the designated starters and was run on data available as of October 23. AccuScore's proprietary algorithm weights each game's data, and as each game is played the simulation winning percentages will change. The simulation winning percentages also will change if the projected starters change.

First!?
GO SOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just noticed we've been using the ALCS thread for WS stuff.
They are starting the game six minutes earlier on Thursday because they know that Schilling has a slower delivery.
John Williams, reknowned American composer and conductor and five-time Academy Award winner will conduct Americas orchestra, the Boston Pops, in the playing of the Star Spangled Banner prior to Game One. Recording artist Ashanti, will sing God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch.
Yastrzemski, who amassed 3,419 hits and 452 home runs in a 23-year major league career, will be joined by manager Dick Williams and 20 players from the 1967 Impossible Dream Red Sox: Mike Andrews, Gary Bell, Dennis Bennett, Darrell Brandon, Galen Cisco, Hank Fischer, Russ Gibson, Dalton Jones, Bill Landis, Jim Landis, Jim Lonborg, Dave Morehead, Jerry Moses, Rico Petrocelli, Bill Rohr, Jose Santiago, Norm Siebern, Lee Stange, Jerry Stephenson, and George Thomas. Richie Conigliaro, the brother of the late Tony Conigliaro, will also participate in the pre-game ceremony.
There will also be a flyover from the 158 Fighter Wing of the Vermont National Guard.
Go Sox!!!
ML/NJ
I’m a die hard Cub fan (flame suit ready) but I’ve been rooting for the BoSox through the playoffs. They used to be just like us (no WS for close to 100 years)if it can happen to them, maybe it can happen to us.
Plus I’m just a passionate baseball fan and man do I love watching Beckett pitch. Curt Schilling being a pubbie is pretty cool too.
So, go Sox and it sux that in a week and a half, I’ve gotta wait for months to see baseball again.
The Tulsa Driller (Rockies farm team) coach was killed this season by a line drive to his head.
Rockies are a class act and I hope they win.
There are 13 former Tulsa Drillers on the Colorado Rockies.
Did AccuScore predict the Rockies winning 21 of their last 22 games?
That’s what I thought...
Go Boston BSoxs from Biggirl!!!!
My prediction: Boston in 5 games taking the championship. :)
Sorry for the typo, it should be, Go Boston RSoxs!!!!
Gag-me is STILL on the roster? If Francona needed an 11th pitcher, why not Tavarez?
At any rate, LET’S GET IT ON!!!
Strange arithmetic on Game 3....
Why would the Red Sox pick Kyle Snyder over Julian Tavarez for the final pitchers spot? Tavarez can definitely pitch more innings with a better result than what Snyder can do IMHO. I pick Colorado to sweep Boston, but I do hope that I’m wrong on this and that the series ends up going the full seven games no matter who ends up winning it. The TV ratings should be decent with the Boston Red Sox still in it.
