Consider the numbers: USC hadn’t lost at home in 36 games. The Trojans were 41-point favorites over Stanford. Now know this: the Cardinal beat John David Booty and No. 2 USC 24-23 on Saturday night, the Trojans’ first loss at L.A. Coliseum since 2001 ... to Stanford.

There's room for Indiana University at 5-1 to move right into the top ten, ahead of Illinois.

This is the ONLY good thing that happened today. Miami loses (though at least they didnt quit), Delaware loses, Ohio State is rolling, ND looks like theyll break into the win column, heck even Florida looks like theyll win. Think Ill drink myself to sleep tonight...

"There is no question in my mind that USC is the best team in the country and may be the best team in the history of college football," Harbaugh said Harbaugh would love say that his squad beat "maybe the best team in the history of college football," but if he really believes that nonsense he's got a few screws loose. The current Trojans are certainly better than my Bruins (but then again who isn't?), but all-time great teams don't lose to the Stanfords of the world. Nor do they lose to the Bruins on the final day of the season last year, for that matter.
Congrats to the Cardinal. Enjoy it.

I’m sorry, but USC is a joke, as is Stanford. Actually, on second thought, the entire PAC-10 is a joke.

It does not matter now but both networks that had on their games had USC and LSU #1 in there scrolls. What gives?
