Consider the numbers: USC hadn’t lost at home in 36 games. The Trojans were 41-point favorites over Stanford. Now know this: the Cardinal beat John David Booty and No. 2 USC 24-23 on Saturday night, the Trojans’ first loss at L.A. Coliseum since 2001 ... to Stanford.

41-point underdog? I think that's the largest spread ever.

Syracuse was a 35 1/2 under-dog to Louisville several weeks ago.

My bumbing fumbling Washington Huskies almost beat USC last week.....give our QB another year under his belt and you’ll see this team in the top ten.

As a Trojan fan myself, the Trojan offense in the game Saturday reminded me of the oft repeated quote from the past USC coach John McKay when his team lost:

When asked, “What do you think of the offense’s execution?” he replied, “I’m all for it.”
