Great to see someone give the drive-bys the "what for", regardless of the context.

It is insane to be attacking the team that won. By the way, Texas Tech’s defensive coach stepped down today.

Was the guy in blue at the end the reporter in question?

Gosh the whole time I thought he was defending our player who dropped what would have been the winning pass. Who the hell attacks the winning team????

Good for Coach Gundy - I like to see a coach take up for his players.

Even though OSU beat Texas Tech Saturday, I think Gundy knows they are in trouble.

Gundy was using psychology to get the guys to play up to their athletic ability.

Remember the last two years he has recruited top 25 players so it dosen’t look to great to have Troy run you out of the stadium.

OSU fans need someone to vent on and what the hey, nothing better than Carlson.

She wrote an article and made some girl mistakes by challenging the 21 year old player Reid's manhood and whether or not he is a mommas boy.

A kid in one my classes was there filming the press conference, and he had some film of everyone getting up and walking around afterwards. Sadly no reaction shot from Carlson, but the rest of the media was priceless.

The Sports Information Director had the best look on his face. He knew his job just got a million times harder. Everyone else was just wondering around like a bomb went off or something.

I heard this video on Rush, then looked it up here to see what it was all about. Just read the column, too.

As per the column, the “kid” is 21 years old. He’s a grown man. I have three sons. Even as children, I think they would be more embarressed by the coach’s reaction, talking about a “kid” crying to his mother. The coach may have good intentions, but I suspect he just made matters worse for this young man.

That was some unnecessary roughness on an amateur player. Maybe the reporterette in question thought she’d get away with it because she’s a woman. Good on the coach for fighting back the drive-by media.

You can bet the Stone Age Press is going to come after the coach now.

I’m a sooners fan. I cheer for texas when they play OSU. Never much cared for Gundy. But he went a ways up on my rating scale. Jeni Carlson needs to be working for Entertainment Tonight writting a gossip column. She is lousy as a sports writer. I say way to go Gundy!

The problem with her reporting is it was so indicative of what we see on Iraq, politics and just about everything else. To attack Bobby Reid on his playing ability is one thing but when she makes it personal and fabricates events, and implies Bobby Reid is a “momma’s boy” because she saw her feeding him chicken after a game she did not go to, she has crossed the line and shows more talent to be writing for The National Enquirer instead of a newspaper. The entire article was filled with things like “word is...., rumor is....., insiders say....”.

She has had a history of things like that. This summer during the PGA in Tulsa she wrote this airhead article about how Tiger Woods should be more like John Daily. I assume she wants him out smoking cigarettes, drinking and gambling every night.

I also think the other problem is Bobby Reid is a darn fine kid and has handled his demotion to the 2nd team much, much better than most of the adults have. The kid goes to class, he is a gentleman to everyone and has worked his fanny off helping the new QB during practice. If she wants to degrade a kid there are plenty of “Michael Vicks” in the sports world that she can write about. I wish my mother was still alive so she could feed me chicken.

Sometimes people have to go postal in order to get the attention of the idiot press. All of you are already aware of how they report things to their personal viewpoints so I won’t bother you with that.
