If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

In Hopes I Wait
Its just a country road
A bit of gravel on mother earth
Leading down among the dogwood trees,
And around that bend at the bottom of the hill
Down by that field my old Uncle used to till
While I listened to the song of the bees
Another summer day to birth
In fates farmstead abode
Wind song whispers soft
Of that time and others long ago
And I remember the history by its path
Etched in every line and mark upon my tattered soul
One day I will know, one day Ill be so truly whole
And never know again the pain of wrath
In the final silence of times flow
When spirits free do loft

Morning to you Meg, lovely graphic today!
Hope all is well with you. How does your yard work go??
To: Soaring Feather
Thank you!..My back is yelling at me so no yard work and very limited computer time are the order of the day..I had a good long run with no flare ups so I am going to try to do whatever to get back to that.

Interesting graphic, Lady!! I like it a lot.
Yes, I thought WayzataJohnn’s poem was the ticket for a good morning ping.
Sun is out today and so far looks like a lovely end of August day.
To: Soaring Feather; Lady Jag; All

A Moment of Discovery
Soft, soft, the coming night enfolds
As the sun wraps itself in rose and pearl
And bids night a sweet adieu again
Stars sweep the sky in silent celebration
And the moon dances a silver lullaby
To the music of the spheres on high
Such a moment the heart holds
And emotions begin to unfurl
Loosening the grip of ancient pains
Life becomes a joyous sensation
Under the canopy of eves sky
When love smiles from your eyes

A good evening to you all, and i hope someone here is in mischief up to their ears!!!! (not enough of that going a round you know.)
Group poem time. Let’s do a Tanka, a chain of Haiku connected by two 7 count lines.
Here’s a start
Willows weep so soft
as dew dresses them in gems
like ladies noble
Silent courts of Evergreens
Where seasons set the dress code
(Put your Haiku here and your tow lines for the next poet)

Hi guy, I did not see you around here.
I’m sorry I can’t join in the fun, my mind is mush-noting creative about it.

eyelids heavy with sleep
dew laden with glitter beads
gossamer wings unfolding
starry flight in sight
