[Soaring Feather]

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Really we have Soaring Feather,I remember Kathy always being late.:)Well we enjoyed ourselves and kept each other company as we sweated out our kids overseas.Do you remember the Halloween party when we all got dressed up.I was Cher:)

Oh that Halloween Party was the best ever, never been one quite like it since then.

We had those funny names too, remember that??

Oh memories, memories, we did support one another and became fast and loyal friends.

How are things going at the store?? I bet it looks terrific.

Well I did the pick up.She gave us 18 vintage hats and gloves and beautiful old slips.She also gave us stoneware that was really good,I looked it up on ebay.She had a portable air conditioner brand new and I was buying one that day so she gave it to us.When I got to the store it was 97 degrees and I sat infront of the fan.I put all the hats in the window and a young man walked in who just lost his Father.We prayed together and I gave him the name and number of a priest who spoke Spanish.He wants to come back and help us.I have a pickup tom.Helen is getting a lot of donations for us.Terry is coming in later to help.She made a mannequin head-this I got to see.:)

Oh wow vintage hats, gloves, and old slips, terrific. Would love to see them, that should bring a pretty good buck for those items.

My gosh it was hot in there, good you have the a/c now.

Ah, sorry for the young man. Hope he can find some strength to get him through.

We don’t have air yet.My son in law is going to pick it up and install.Helen always gets us good stuff.She used to run a thrift store and has a good eye.Our listeners are so happy we have a thrift store again.They are cleaning out their closets:)We just need enough to pay the bills and help the people.

Wonderful work you and your crew of women do.

Well, girlfriend, I must go to bed. I was very active today the most I have been able to be in over a month. I was out in the backyard today, first time in a month, and actually did a little house cleaning, also.

I need to rest now as I am pretty tired, so I will see you soon and God Bless.

Fragmentary Blue

Why make so much of fragmentary blue
In here and there a bird, or butterfly,
Or flower, or wearing-stone, or open eye,
When heaven presents in sheets the solid hue?


Since earth is earth, perhaps, not heaven (as yet)--
Though some savants make earth include the sky;
And blue so far above us comes so high,
It only gives our wish for blue a whet.

I spent yesterday with the grandkids. The two older ones start school today. The MBABGDITW#2 starts kindergarten on Thursday. She had kindergarten orientation last night, so I stayed with the older two while her mom and dad took her to registration. They grow up so fast!

So, today’s a recovery day. I’m about to go back to bed.

Now I may be a curmudgeon, just a bit
but I think each morning, politicians need a hit
to remind them who really is the boss
and maybe things would stop being a loss

Let us consider them as short lived as fruit flies
and after a short time their overrated career dies
and we have a chance for something new, not fools
from others who’ll have to live by the same rules

D.C. is not the place for careers to begin
for we need honesty there firmly set again
and common sense to be common even in the damn news
like all taxpayers, I’m tired of paying dues!
