If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

This is my first real poem. I am definitely not a poet, but I have tried and am proud of myself.
First photos that look like our cats:
Photo of a cat that looks like Simba
Photo of a kitten that looks like Shadow upon awakening.
ODE TO THE CATS
Our cats have a
very, very nice house
Simba sleeps on his chair
Shadow sleeps on the couch.
Simba, the elder
chases the kitten around
or sometimes Shadow
pounces him to the ground.
Shadow hides Simba's toys
where they cannot be found.
We find them in the couch
with all the Velcro unbound.
The feathers are everywhere
the Velcro must have failed
for Shadow has sharp little teeth
and hides them in her dark kitty veil.
Her name is Shadow or Mouse
because you can't see her.
She has lots of hidey-holes
which blend into her silken kitty fur.
The reason we have Shadow
is Simba and she were dotting
cat nose prints on the window.
We opened the screen door anticipating.
Simba watched her walk in.
We thought "uh-oh, a cat fight perhaps?"
The opposite is true
because they are best of friends.
HAPPY 4th ANNIVERSARY,
SOARING FEATHER!

Amazing isn’t it, hard for me to believe, too. I guess being persistent helps out some. Seems like yesterday we were both learning to post graphics. LOL Remember the fun we used to have doing that. When Karen was in Iraq....wow.

Greetings o gracious and lovely Ms Feather :-)
I had a hard time making up my mind on fours for the Lairs 4th. I had F4F Wildcats and a F4D Skyray even an F4 Phantom or two but I’ve always thought that was a cool painting.
Mrs alfa6 says howdy back, she is busy working with her embroidery machine.

Well, ya done good alfa, I can always trust you to make the right decision regarding planes, except of course if I am flying it. LOL
I never did embroidery with a machine, always hand done stuff for me. I love what people turn out on those machines.
You have been posting some right fine sorties on Friday and Saturday nights. I always enjoy looking at those posts.
To: fatima
Oh gee that’s right and we did it too!! What a scream!

Oh my gosh that flight to Mars was the best ever. And dang if the pilot did not leave us stranded out there. Is that the one you meant, or was it the Mars Thread??
Yes, we did write little poems-I had forgotten that.
We should dig out one of those old threads just for the heck of it. Remember the Mid Night Raiders?? That was all of we woman back then. Oh man the places we went -hilarious.
Remember radu always getting sick on the plane rides?? LOL And Kathy would pound on her sore knees?? She was always late to the night flight-of course, she was still working.
Someone had to volunteer for clean up duty, usually radu, someone would get snacks for after we landed. LOL
We were all there at the right time and what a team we all made, each one adding their own special gifts. And Mr. Tonkin was traffic cop when we did the car racing. What a scream.
Man we spent a lot of hours together Fatima. A lot of hours.
