I wish someone would have picked it up, but there has been talk of at least 2 production movies of SG-1 in talks. I’ve seen the rest of season 10, and nothing happens story-wise to prevent the movies from being made.

But what I read was that the show was going to shift away from Jericho (and the Who Dropped the Bombs mystery) and towards the rebuilding of the rest of the country.

Then I'm glad it was canceled.

The doomsday conspiracy mystery was why I watched it. Robert and his mysterious satellite technology was way cool!

"Warday" was a good book. It made me see the world, our nation, and our federal gov'nt in a whole different light.

Imagine, closing the borders of California to other Americans fleeing tragedy. That blew me away.

Looks like Jericho was one of the many shows this year killed by hiatus. Don’t know why the networks decided to put so many shows on rerunless hiatuses this year, but every one of them lost a serious chunk of their ratings in the process. Jericho came back with ratings behind ABC’s George Lopez, which also got canceled.

Or maybe even the flailing MY TV network.... Production costs would have to drop significantly for that network to be interested... but I’m sure it would draw far more eyeballs than anything else they have broadcast.

I could care less about any of these shows. I miss Hercules and Highlander type cable shows. Tough guys with supernatural powers in a Saturday morning cartoon format. Those started to go and now all you have is tough chicks with supernatural power in a soap opera format, puke. I include Angel in that group and Smallville is too much of it too. It isn’t necessarily what gender the lead is, it’s the female oriented, drama centered, soap opera crap.

Closest thing I can get to what I want is the anime Bleach. Little bit of soap opera but nothing like buffy or Charmed.

I wonder if it will continue? The last two week’s episodes gave me the impression the writers were floundering around looking for a plot.

Hell, why wouldn’t TV focus on women? My experience, more women watch this stuff than guys. My wife watches TV at least 4-5 nights a week... Me, I watch maybe 1 or 2, I play sports and do other things most nights.

Only shows I try to watch are Simpsons, Everybody Hates Chris, My Name is Earl, and Scrubs... If I’m home on a night they are on.

"Don’t know why the networks decided to put so many shows on rerunless hiatuses this year,"

Ditto - I started watching Heroes at the beginning of the season, then went a few months where I didn't have much time for TV. I went online to download the episodes I missed, and found there were only 3.

It does amaze me that “Charmed” is still on the air.... The show is terrible.

What I would like to see is a good long term Sci Fi story arc epic, like a Babylon 5.

I am tired of repugnant sit coms, and boring dramas who are glorified soaps broadcast at night and forget “reality” TV... only thing more mind numbing would be BARNEY reruns.

As long as Lost, Scrubs and StarGate(The original not that idiotic Atlantis) stays on

SG1 has never been the same since Richard Dean Anderson left.;(

It isn’t that they are focused on women, it seems to be all women. Not one freakin’ He-man type kicking ass and a bunch hot female support characters; the NOIVE of these producers! And yeah, I don’t watch that much TV either.

“I watched Jericho at first but quit after about 8 episodes.

It had turned into a post apocalypse soap opera. A slow and boring one at that.”

The last three episodes should have been the way the entire first season was depicted. Damn shame they figured it out too late.

“It’s a shame about Jericho - after a slow start it was really picking up steam.”

Same thoughts here.

A "PC" farce based upon the trite but standard "Evil Greedy White Men" theme!

“And what a wonderful character he was. A bona fide man, doing what had to be done and insisting the other men around him step up and be real men, too. Terribly refreshing given the state of TV today.”

I had the exact opposite view of his character til the final few episodes. For the entire first half of the season, he acted like a liberal would act in such a situation, at some points actually mocking citizens arming themselves - despite the fact half the police department was executed, for example. Despite the knowledge there were roving gangs, one of which robbed his own home, and almost killed his son, and wife.

I hope the show gets picked up by Sci Fi, or cable.

I miss my MyNetwork dramas. They were fun, naughty, raunchy. Sort of like seeing inside the bedroom of a Democrat.

I read where people don’t watch re-runs of continuing plot shows like Jerico, Lost, Heroes, etc., which is why some don’t show them (ratings). Some try to overcome the problem by keeping the time between “seasons” shorter. Like Lost will take a month or six weeks off — no reruns — but come right back with new shows.
