DE last year, DT this year. They need to build the O line . Yes, I'm a little surprised at that first pick, but not as furious as I was with last year's first pick. (Sigh...)
Baby steps....baby steps...baby steps...
I hope they focus on beefing up the O-line now. We've never really had one.

Plenty. And I’m glad to hear it. I need SOME good news today after the idiocy in taking Ted Ginn, Jr. over Brady Quinn.

I think either Packers or Jags take Quinn, after that it’s a long fall for Brady.

ESPN and there hype machine is funny. Alot of the whispers before the draft was that Quinn would go in the 20’s, and maybe slip into the 2nd round. Complaints were accuracy and not checking down and forcing the pass, also he was too beefed up from weight lifting. Kiper must serve his ESPN masters and they probably figured Quinn would make a good hype and controversy when not taken top 5.

Carriker was one of those players that has an immediate impact ability plus with his versatility is a very safe first round pick. I am just surprised that San Fran didn’t take him.

As a J-E-T-S fan I’m thrilled with the move. They got one of the top two corners in the draft by trading one of their two second rounders and swapping a five for a six. Since most personnel directors say there are only 15-18 legitimate first round talents in this draft they made sure they got the best player available at their biggest need position. There is no way he or Hall would have been available at 25.

It is entertaining as hell.

Jets fan here too. Love the deal. Love it more that the Fins took a 5’1” receiver with the 9th pick ;)
To: garv
I think they gave up too much. Time will tell.
To: chet_in_ny
5’11”- not that its much of a difference :)
To: chet_in_ny
A close second is Buffalo really reaching with Lynch.
To: chet_in_ny
I can’t believe Quinn fell into the Fin’s lap and they gagged. Actually, I can believe it and I’m very happy.
