As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
BREAKING--DRUDGE SIREN--VIRGINIA TECH BUILDING EVACUATED, POLICE SWARMING WITH GUNS DRAWN...
President Bush has ordered flags flown at half-staff in memory of the victims of the VT massacre.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
I’ll print that photo out and eat it later...:-)
How are you doing? Are the puddles gone?
Love you all.
I'll check in when I get back.
Huge (((((HUGS))))) to all.
Me too guys.
I am in the middle of fixing dinner but i’ll be back.
Need to regroup anyway.
I’m still here.
Late this afternoon I had to call the Hewlitt Packard company about ordering some inkjet refills...we couldn't get their on-line order form to work.
HP has one of those talking robot telephone operators, so that you say what you want and it repeats it before advancing on to the next step.
Here is the exact transaction:
Computer phone operator: Please say what you want.
Me: Inkjet refill.
Computer: You want a kayak, is that right?
Honestly, I about dropped the phone. I can't help but think that that was a definite message. Why would HP have "kayak" on their options?
Must be windy out there. So far two flyballs missed by a mile.
Oh my! I can see Kay LOL on that one.
Back to watching the game.
I was a bit worried about Igawa for a sec but he’s not doing too badly.
I will give you all the mercury, balerium, sulfercarruious, bariomarfious you need, if you will only think about being here more often ....
I will post more often if you will get me some Morden's Pink Lythrum. (I think mine died in the prolonged spring freeze)
oh!.... My!
LOL! As I live alone in the boonies, FR is my window on the world. W/short wave and a Boise radio, TV, cell and landline phones, of course, my daughter claims that “Mama is on the cutting edge.” LOL
I posted this on Kay’s thread but I really felt the need to share it with you all here.
ON EAGLES’ WINGS
(Michael Joncas)
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord:”My refuge,
My rock in whom I trust!”
And he will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear:
Under His wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day;
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His hand.
For to His angels He’s given a command
To guard you in all of your ways;
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His hand.
And hold you, hold you in the palm of His hand.
The latter is the one I'm reading and it's a page turner...decent gardening info...attractive setting: England's West Country and characters.
Now I'm particular...Josephine Tey and Ngaio Marsh are my favorites and the standard, but this book is not bad at all...
And you know we're crying out for something good & diverting to read...
Thank you. That helps.
