How about some predictions not only on Score but how the game will go?
And Identify whether or not you're a huge fan of either team or just a regular football fan.
Me Bears fan since birth. My oldest's middle name is Payton. Not PEyton but PAyton.
Bears 31 Colts 28.
Bears keep Peyton off the field with solid running game. Grossman is steady but not spectacular just like he was against the Saints. Doesn't turn the ball over, overall stats nothing to write home about but he makes the plays and passes when he needs to. Defense or Special Teams makes 1 TD. Rex throws for one. Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson each run for 1.
Manning still has good game the Bears beat the Colts D. The main reason Manning doesn't win is the Bears relying heavily on the run keeping him off the field.
Time of Posession winds up being key to victory along with no turnovers.
Colts 31, Bears 28
I see the Bears leading late, with the colts at 27. The colts drive down the field, and set up a Vinatieri FG in the closing seconds. Sound familiar? I think the result is the same.
I think Manning has an MVP performance, and Grossman does better than expected. He throws a fine deep pass, and will catch the Colts napping at least once.
The Colts D reverted to form in the first quarter and a half, but the Pats stopped being able to run the ball after that.
The steamed shrimp and wings will be gone by halftime.
wait, that doesn't make sense. the score would be Colts 30, Bears 28 in that scenario.
I'm with you on the pick. I'm usually wrong, but....
I will go against "conventional wisdom" and take the Bears in the "upset".
But the Pats were still moving the ball effectively. In the end their defensive performance was pretty close to what they had against the Pats in the regular season, which actually was one of the defense's better games.
My prediction is that this Super Bowl will have the lowest viewer rating in the last ten years.
The pats were scoring a lot, but remember one of the TDs was a pick 6, and the poor Indy special teams kept resulting in great starting field position for the pats. I think Indy's D did very well after a shaky start.
Final score - Colts 34 Bears 20
Indy 17
Chicago 6
I am going to pick the Bears as well. Might as well since I have not done a very good job of picking teams to win during the end of the season in NFL. Maybe my luck will change!
The Pats got 319 total yards of offense averaging 5.4 yards per play. What killed them was the defense's complete inability to get off the field, as demonstrated by the Colts 80 total plays compared to the Pats 59.
Indy 21, Chicago 16.
Chicago's defense will be fired up, but Manning will handle them anyway. Indy's defense has played better than the Bears' defense throughout the playoffs, and I expect them to stop the run just fine.
The team with the most points WILL win!
Bears 31
Colts 21
Bears 34, Colts 30.
Bears' front seven contol Addai and make Indy one-dimensional.
Colts' defense largely handles Bears' attack except for a couple of big plays that result in touchdowns.
Chicago also score on special teams and defense.
Prince??????
Doesn't-interest-me-but-might-interest-you PING
Indy 41
Bears 23
Manning MVP
