Darrent Williams, the Denver Broncos right cornerback, was reportedly gunned down this morning after leaving a nightclub near the intersection of 11th and Grant in a limousine, reports the AP.
The team reportedly confirmed the death of Darrent Williams.
According to AP reports, a female passenger was also shot. Williams was 24 years young.

According to AP reports, a female passenger was also shot. Williams was 24 years young. A total of three people were shot and the limo was reportedly riddled with bullets.
Limo riddled with bullets? Just damn, what's going on? RIP, Darrent Williams.

I don't know if this was random or not - but the video of the limo on the TV news channel shows a streach limo with heavily tinted, blacked out windows. They would have to know which seats the passengers were in. It would have to be random shots into the vehicle even if they knew who was in it.
A tragic way for his family to have to bring in the new year. Sad, so sad.

It doesn’t sound random.

In the past couple months, it seems I've reading nothing but sports figures being killed or injured inside or while leaving the glorified saloons and so-called "night clubs" they like to hang out at.
I think if I were an athlete, I'd eschew visiting these joints. But then, many of them are not among the brightest candles at Wicks ' Sticks.
If these raucous joints were safe for customers, why do they all need 300-pound-gorilla "bouncers" at the entranceways?
