Time for a new political party [Good luck with all that - Zot!]
Posted on 12/19/2006 5:29:03 PM PST by 9999lakes
It may well be time for a new conservative political party. The republicans have failed, and failed big-time to deliver for conservative causes. They seem inclined to nominate CINO only like Rudy Guliani or John McCain, and neither of those candidates is gonna do one thing for conservative issues.
Said another way, the republicans are part of the problem, and no part of any solution.
But it IS time, to make substantive changes, and the GOP seems not to be part of them.

Sorry, it's not possible. Unless there's a major civil war or a foreign invasion of the United States, the time is not ripe for a new political party.

For the last two years I've been telling everyone who would listen that the first Tuesday in November was a day to stay home. Many did. Excellent job in convincing conservatives to stay home. I hope Howard Dean sent you a check.

The advantage to starting a third party is that you can get dumb people to donate money to your campaign from which you can draw a salary.

Holy cow--I think I may have helped instigate an actual zot, after all these years! It
has been a merry Christmas.
Guess I can go back to my fiery pit now...

Conservatives can choose to reform the GOP, or march off into oblivion on your course. Pretty easy pick.

For the last two years I've been telling everyone who would listen that the first Tuesday in November was a day to stay home. Many did. The day will come when the Pelosi congress passes an amnesty bill that is at best as putrid as the one the Senate passed last year. On that day, if you complain about it even one bit, I hope you get struck by lightning. After all, it's whiners like you who fired the only people holding back amnesty.
