Fellow FReepers - I ask that you say a prayer for the family of one of my son's classmates/teammates as he lost his battle with cancer this afternoon. I had the pleasure of being his T-Ball coach this last season and getting to know him.
The battle wasn't long - lasting only 6 weeks from diagnosis to his passing. But that doesn't make it much easier. It will be a difficult road ahead for the family and they could use all the power of prayer they can get.
Thanks and God Bless.

Babies should never go before the parents. May His healing spirit bring comfort to the family.

6 weeks..sheesh...he didn't even have a chance to fight.
God must have needed this child really bad.
Godspeed little one. And condolences to his family.

The child is now safe in the arms of the Lord. I pray that the pain of his parents, family and friends may be lessened in that knowledge. This is just heartbreaking.

Just awful. "Every death is a catastrophe" it has been said. In Christ's name, take this little boy into your arms, God, and love him. Comfort his grieving family and give them faith.
Amen.

Oh RedCell. Prayers going up. It hurts extra hard when they're so young. I hope this song brings you comfort.
With Hope
(Click the candle for music)
Now you are gone away Left us with the memories of your smile And nothing we can say And nothing we can do Can take away the pain The pain of losing you, but... We can cry with hope We can say goodbye with hope 'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end, And we can grieve with hope 'Cause we believe with hope There's a place where we'll see your face again Through the cloud of tears I see the Father's smile and say well done And I imagine you Where you wanted most to be Seeing all your dreams come true 'Cause now you're home And now you're free, and... We have this hope as an anchor 'Cause we believe that everything God promised us is true, so... We wait with hope We ache with hope We hold on with hope We let go with hope

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words and prayers. When I see the family, I'll be sure to pass them along.
You can count on extra hugs for my family tonight. That's for sure.
