Are there mountains in Kansas?
Anyway ... I predict this will be simply another vehicle for the usual anti-American, anti-Christian propagandists.

Gerald McRaney is in it, so I don't think it'll be typical left wing Hollywood view of fly-over country.

Is there any part of the United States that is prepared for the realities of nuclear warfare?
As Katrina proved, prepared individual Americans are in the best position to ensure their own survival.
Reliance on any level of government to save us is not an option.

I saw the pilot a month ago -- best description I can come up with for it: "One Tree Hill" meets "The Day After" -- and it's a complete waste of electricity.

Just damn.

Here's what I think is going to happen. I believe the cop from St. Louis is a plant from some illuminati type group. This group also happens to be the ones responsible for the nuclear detenations. There is no way network TV is going to show any country where people who may buy the DVD's as the responsible pary. Sa with Islamo-Fascists. The main character probably works for the US govt. as a counter role to the st. louis cop. I figure the US govt. knew the secret groups plan and sent out reps to safe havens all over the country in case the plan was succesful. I'm betting that at this time main character doesn't know about the secret group's representative and vice-versa.

I watched the episodes online at CBS and I like it. I think it is a good show, hypothetical circumstances and not too far off from what could happen. Scary too...
Some of the shows on lately have been pretty pathetic, imo. But I'm willing to keep watching this and see where it goes.
