I just finished watching a re-run of COPS, and it occurred to me that there are certain phrases you are not apt to hear on that program. So I thought it might be fun to see how imaginitive Freepers could be in seeing how many we can come up with. I will start off with
"Yes, officer, I stole this automobile. And that is my crack pipe in the ash tray and all those drugs in the glove box? Yep, all mine."
"Si, Senor, I am an illegal alien, and I am here to make lots of money selling my uncle's marajuana crop. America is such a great Country."
"Yes officer, sir, I would be glad to get down, quietly put my hands behind my back and wait for further instructions."
If I had a dime for every time one of them said "I ain't done nuthin". I'd retire.
If this thread lasts until I post, this is my entry.
"I am a Kennedy, but I don't expect any special treatment."
"Hey Brenda Sue, quick clean up we've got company!"
Nope officer, I only had one beer...
"I understand why you had to pull me over, Officer. You can't be too careful with people of my racial background."
Cops come off as public enemies. Some of the arrests are downright disgusting wit trumped up charges and clear violations of warrant requirements.
I like the show but sometimes it disgusts me.
Oh wait, that really happened!
Actually it's hard to top some of the stupid stuff these morons have said and done on COPS.
Wud somebody please call a clue? I unnerstand they will file a claim in support of me. What mamma? ACLU? Whatever! Call de asses.
And a dime for...
Cop: "Why'd you run?"
Stupid criminal: "I dunno."
¡Dios Bendice Presidente Bush!
Mook: "That's not my dope."
Officer: "So what's it doing in your pants pocket?"
Mook: "These aren't my pants."
The conversation goes downhill from there....
Don't forget "Just a coupla beers." as they bounce off the fender of the cruiser.
One time we let our kids watch cops.
I asked them later what they'd learned. My son said...that there are a lot of stupid people who never learned to shut up, listen, follow directions and sort it out later.
It was a great lesson for them.
I'll give you a box of donuts if you'll let me go.
When my children were small I sat down with them and observed them as they watched COPS episodes. We would talk about how there are really mean nasty people in this world, and what they looked like and what they did.
COPS is a true life object lesson for children to know that evil stupid people are out there and they better watch out.
